Definitely recommend the Canadian jersey as I have one. It's a simple design, but works well as it is not cluttered with piping/sponsors etc. I like the darker shade of red and the embossed maple leaves adds something different to it.

Sure, but it depends on where the money is coming from. If it's from the marketing budget, it would be palatable as the money was not going to be spent directly on education. It would be disappointing if it came from spending that directly affected student education.

Did you get the Tahs pro jersey? I have the same design for a couple of RWC 2011 teams and they don't fit as well as ones from other maunfacturers. The last couple of pro jersey designs from Canterbury have been disappointing... they are getting too complex/fancy with their collars and intrusive...

After Rocky's confirmation as captain for 2012, it will be interesting to see who will be appointed vice captain as he will be leading the team for at least the first few rounds of the season.

Just found out the Tahs will be playing their final trial match at the SFS at the same time as Australia play Sri Lanka in an ODI next door at the SCG. Big opportunity to look like an idiot by wearing sky blue at the cricket until the Tahs kick off!!!:D
