    Waratahs 2012

Their recent playing jerseys (2007 onwards) have been pretty ordinary to look at...excess piping and rubber grips etc. If they wanted to have the rubber grip, it should be the same colour as the jersey. The Springboks had the grips but it was the same colour as the jersey so it was less...

    IRB Sevens 2012

It was cringe worthy to hear the Australian team referred to as the "Lime Greens" and Thunderbolts in the commentary. BTW, is it just a coincidence that there is a team in the cricket T20 Big Bash League called Thunder and also wear lime green?

    Waratahs 2012

I reckon the 2012 jersey looks better without the piping below the chest like the "classic" version.

Wallabies vs Wales, Sunday Dec 4

It was great to watch the game on FTA without breaking for an ad every time there was a stoppage. Even though rugby isn't a sport he usually presents, Mike Tomalaris was pretty good as host. As Nine have the domestic Wallabies Tests (and 2015 RWC) sewn up, here's hoping SBS present future spring...

    Super Rugby touch rugby

This year was the first time the Tahs played the Reds at Homebush. It was a decent sized crowd for the Tahs (33,846). Unless Homebush is a full house, the atmosphere is poor. Not many people want to go out to Homebush to watch anything, but, apparently, the financial incentives for the Tahs to...

Probably. I couldn't find the answer on the NSWRU website.

Either the Annual Report didn't mention the shareholders or I missed it, but likely that the NSW Rugby Union would be the ultimate owner.

    Rugby Jerseys and Merch Deals

That's a great price...it could turn up cheaper as a Deal of the Week on the KooGa website in the future. Got one of the 2011 RWC versions as it doesn't have a sponsor on it. Thanks for the heads up.

With the RRP of some of the team merchandise available, a merchandise package could be pretty expensive based on those prices unless they provide lesser quality products in the package. Then you could be better off waiting for the end of season sales of team merchandise.

The Tahs are operated through NSW Waratahs Limited which pays the NSW Rugby Union a licence fee for the rights to use the Waratahs brand. I recall this was done to provide for the future possibility of private interests taking an ownership stake in the team. So you would probably need to be a...

    Rugby Jerseys and Merch Deals

I bought a "classic" Waratahs away jersey recently, but it was short sleeved and didn't have a traditional collar...does that count? I prefer the modern/pro versions as I find they are a better fit than those of, say, ten years ago which were of a much more relaxed fit.

Hmmm...will need to carry some other people's business cards with me in the future.:lmao:

From the seating plan for the Tahs in 2012, some Platinum seats are past the 22m line and there are gold seats which are behind the posts, albeit at an elevated level...weird. The Bronze/GA seats look to be the best value.

    Waratahs 2012

That's brilliant...what did you end up using to enter as I recall you didn't have a business card on hand? Anyway, congrats! Pleased that you won.

Better than no broadcast. So there will be no FTA for the Baa Baas match then?
