RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

I know Horne is in there only if KB (Kurtley Beale) is out, I was ranting about Horne in general :P And I know it's a bit late to bring this up again, but Giteau should have been in the squad instead of Horne.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

Couldn't agree more. Why does Deans keep going back to Simmons when Sharpe is consistently good. He might not have GREAT games every outing, but he almost never has a bad one. He has the experience that we need to win these big games. Also, what is Deans' hard-on for Rob Horne. Horne has...

Who your least favourite rugby commentator ?

If you happened to watch the Aus vs SA game on Maori TV this weekend, then you would have heard some horrendous commentary. This BBC commentator is my favourite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAH3SP5l8OE

All is not lost, time to keep the faith.

I have to agree that all is not lost. As an outsider I am a bit amazed at how quickly the Aussie fans and media turn on the Wallabies. Wallabies finally beat NZ in Japan last year- suddenly they are the best team ever and all is good They lose to Samoa - it's a total disaster, and heads must...

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

I am Canadian, with Italian heritage. I am also a huge wallbies fan. I was at the Aus vs Italy game, and I have to say the Aussie fans can be equally vile. I was sitting in front of 5 of the most ignorant, racist, retarded people I have met at a sporting event. Instead of supporting their...

Digby Ioane with suspected broken hand

Digby out for rest of RWC??? I hope this turns out to be nothing. http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/digby-ioane-could-miss-rest-of-world-cup-20110912-1k53j.html

World cup website video - grrr.

I can't view the foxsports highlights because they block NZ from viewing the video. And as for the RWC site, I am having the same problem, it stutters and is completely unwatchable.

    Farewell the wallabies 5-9-11

So picture this. After arriving on a 14 hr flight from LA, exhausted and trying to keep myself awake the entire day, I walked from the Opera House to Sydney Uni and back. I walked into a rebel sport, bought a supporters scarf, and happened to walk by town hall only to stumble upon this event...

    Live Calling of the RWC?

Universal Sports on the free to air digital subchannel isn't HD, at least coming from Buffalo. They don't allocate much bandwidth to it because the main channel is HD(11 Mbit/s), then the two subchannels are SD(3.8 Mbit/s each), so the quality is not so great at times.

    Live Calling of the RWC?

I'm pretty sure Universal Sports is broadcasting the games in the US free to air. It's typically on the digital subchannel of your local NBC affiliate. Not sure about the commentary though.

    Quade Cooper

He brings a much needed unpredictability to the Wallabies side. While his backhand passes and cross field kicks can be risky, he seems to pull them off. These keep the opposition on edge. As an attacking flyhalf I don't think there are any better at the moment. Dan Carter is Mr. Consistency...

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

Great game by the Wallabies, but I am worried about a few things. The Wallabies did this in last year's Tri-nations as well - They get out to a big lead in the first half then try to cruise through the second half. If I remember correctly in a couple games last year they put three or four...

Drown out the haka: Bledisloe II | Tri Nations finale

I think it would be best if a tradition is started where at the same time every game the crowd sings waltzing matlida. Say 20 mins into each half. It would be a huge boost to the players on the field. Imagine 60,000 people singing that.

Drown out the haka: Bledisloe II | Tri Nations finale

I think the obvious choice is for the Wallabies fans to sing Waltzing Matilda, while holding up their supporters scarves. I went to a baseball game at Fenway Park in Boston. The Red Sox fans all sang Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. When the entire stadium hit the "Ba.Ba.Baaa" part it sent...

Drown out the haka: Bledisloe II | Tri Nations finale

If you are intimidated by a bunch of men singing and dancing then maybe you shouldn't be playing rugby.
