    Fantasy Super rugby 2013

Mistakes I've made in my round 2 team - Benching Luke Jones, Clyde Rathebone, and Ed Quirk. - Transfering out Higgers, Tapaui and Shipperly - Folau was a bit of an expensive gamble, that had mediocre results. Had I kept the players mentioned above I would tentatively be in 2nd place in the...

    Fantasy Super rugby 2013

GRRR! I dropped higginbotham completely and put rathbone on my bench! I did however move up in the league standings though, with 8 players still to register points in this round.

    Fantasy Super rugby 2013

Here's my team. I took the bait, believed the hype and picked Folau. I also know that I have quite a few Brumbies and they have a bye next week, I'm not too worried as I can pull in a couple reserves to and only have to make two transfers to cover my Brumbies. That leaves me with two...

Who else does not 'follow a team'?

I'm a Wallabies fan, so I definitely follow them. As for Super Rugby teams, I am a fan of good rugby, so I usually watch games I think will be exciting. I have been watching a lot of Reds games the last few years, but this year I'll likely expand that to the Tahs and Brumbies too.

    Fantasy Super rugby 2013

So Cummins not playing forced me to reshuffle my team. Here's is what I am going with. The following few rounds are going to be interesting as I will have to start transferring in SA and NZ players.

Here's my team for Round 1. So far this is just a placeholder team, and I am going to make a few changes before the cutoff Any thoughts?

    Retiring from Rugby

This is what I did. I stopped playing in my early 20's as university, and then work made it difficult to commit to playing and training. I wanted to get back into playing but my knees aren't what they used to be so I started up refereeing a couple of years ago, almost a full 10 years after last...

Should Pocock have to earn back his starting spot?

if you don't like the discussion then don't participate in it?

Should Pocock have to earn back his starting spot?

Am I the only one who thinks both Pocock AND Hooper should be in the starting lineup? Despite being smaller than most ball running flankers, Hooper brings a lot of aggression, always gets past the gain line and is solid in defense.

    Rugby television programs

The code was "meh". The stuff regarding marketing and mundane backroom office stuff played out like a corporate video.

    Lions Tour 2013

I still prefer Hooper and Pocock on the field at the same time. The Wallabies have done it before with Waugh and Smith. Perhaps put in Douglas for Timani in the second row to add another jumper. If we are saying the Lions pack is going to out muscle the Wallabies then Hooper is the way to...

    Lions Tour 2013

McMeniman in the starting lineup over Hooper?! Hooper has had a brilliant season, it's a crime to leave him on the bench

    Lions Tour 2013

I haven't paid much attention to the lineout to be honest. Doesn't Horwill usually call the lineouts? and Aren't Timani and Horwill usually jumpers? Not sure if Palu is a typical jumper

GAGR Vote - Should Deans go after the EOYT?

I don't think Deans is a bad coach, but his results have been lackluster. And by that I don't just mean his win/loss record. I am more concerned with what he has gotten out of his players. The team has seemed stagnant over TRC and the EOYT. I will give Deans this though- he has suffered a horror...

    Lions Tour 2013

Also although it has been knocked back I am excited by the idea of having Pocock and Hooper on the field at the same time. Some say they both offer the same thing in terms of fetching, but I would say that's a good thing. And despite Hooper's smaller size he more than makes up for it in terms...

    Lions Tour 2013

Wasn't aware of the requirement for an extra prop. In that case I would drop Mowen and add another prop. As for Beale I don't think he's that good at 10. None of his performances at 10 were ground breaking, some good, but none outstanding. As first receiver Beale tends to chip kick or grubber...

    Lions Tour 2013

I'm putting forth this team for the Wallabies. 1. Robinson 2. Moore 3. Alexander 4. Horwill 5. Timani 6. Hooper 7. Pocock 8. Palu 9. Genia 10. Cooper (If he can gain some Test confidence, he'd be unstoppable.) 11. Ioane 12. O'Connor 13. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 14. Cummins 15. Beale Bench Kepu Polota-Nau Mowen...

    Rugby on Youtube

It's all about licensing and rights. A broadcaster paid big bucks for the rights to produce and televise that game in a certain territory. They usually release or allow highlights for other news/sports entities, but they still retain rights. Youtube circumvents all that.
