When has barnes been successful outside Cooper? It comes up alot but I can't think of a single occasion

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

I understand the logic of selecting the previously injured players now. Overall seems like a good squad and I reckon Hodgson will be following them round NZ leaving banana skins in hotel foyers. The change of captaincy is right and I never saw Rocky as a long term leader – he was one of the...

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

I think we are. Add that onto the two other concerns I have - lack of consistency (when was the last time we won 3 hard games in a row, let alone won 6 games in a row - it was probably early 2000s) and lack of an +85% goal kicker (in test matches atleast) and I struggle to see us being...

Who do you want kicking for the Wallabies?

Michael O'Conner , he was awesome and is already on the ARU payroll

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

All they need to do is put a fake set of goal posts on either side of the ground and gits will be scoring under the (real) posts all game!

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

Also, what are the rules on injury replacements for the RWC? Can anyone be brought in at any time? I presume you can only replace players who are out of the RWC due to injury (and no just injured for a week etc.) Is there some sort of period they need to wait until they can be selected in the...

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

McCabe is our starting 12 in my view, he has done little wrong in his 4 tests so far and I think he is a good counterfoil for Cooper. I am nervous about the number of returning from injury players included in squads (e.g. TPN, Palu, Mitchell, Horne, Slipper, Daley). The only one of these...

Wallabies Number 8 for the RWC

My issue with Palu is that chances are he will get crocked again before the end of the tournament even if fit going in, same with TPN for that matter. Either way we need an alternative - we have that in Moore but haven't quite got it sorted yet at 8. I would like to see Samo start at 8 in...

    Tri Nations Game 4 South Africa v Australia - Saturday 13 August 2011 - 3N2011

And if they win it will prove they can only win the RWC when they have a home ground advantage!

    Tri Nations Game 4 South Africa v Australia - Saturday 13 August 2011 - 3N2011

Charger, I think a big part of our problem is finishing and goal kicking. I think we are making enough breaks to score more than 14 but the support isn't there or the pass goes to ground etc.

    Wallaby Player ratings V SA - 14/08/10

I saw Steinkamp run on and suddenly thought I was fit enough for international rugby. By the end of the game, I realised that both Steinkamp and I need some more conditioning.

Tri Nations Game 5 - Springboks vs All Blacks

The bok players who have spent time in europe (F Steyn, James, JdV) all looked short of a gallop and out of form to me.

    Tri Nations Game 4 South Africa v Australia - Saturday 13 August 2011 - 3N2011

Good win by Aus. While it was ugly, so are most victories in the republic (especially when its wet) and they are hard to come by at the best of times. Thought our pigs played a confrontational and physical manner, which was great as the boks rarely have a plan b. Coming off the back of the...

    Waratahs 2012

What is going on with the coach? Anyone know the process specifically? What are they waiting for exactly? Edit, maybe tah central is waiting to see if PdV becomes available after this years RWC to continue the practice of importing coachs from our 3N partners. He would be front page of the...

    James O'Connor #12, Rob Horne #13?

In completely unrelated and probably uninteresting news, Dane Sorenson is a local builder in the sutherland shire in sydney and is currently running for the Sharks (NRL) board.

The positives & failings from Bledisloe 1 2011

My eyes must be playing tricks on me as it looks very much like Alexander has bound behind crockets arm on his torso. Alexander lets go of the bind because wild is about to eat dirt and he doesn't want to do the same. On a different note I have no idea why alexander is our starting THP, when...

The positives & failings from Bledisloe 1 2011

Thomond, I got as far as 1 second in before I disagreed with you. I see Crocket with his hand on the ground and fully "hinged" because he missed his bind. Alexander (and the whole wobb scrum for that matter) is still fully bound and formed, except Alexander is following Crocket down because...
