As per my post in the SS thread, NSWRU have advised that the grade finals will be held at the highest placed 1st grade team's home ground, if available. So probably TGMilner, Manly Oval and Forshaw.

I've hear that, where possible, the highest placed first grade side will host each of the finals games. Sounds fair to me. Do we know where the colts finals games are being held this year?

I can't speak for Uni, but I'm pretty certain that not all of the rock stars playing colts at the Wicks are on scholarships from the club. We've flogged this issue to death over the years but, as HJ and others have stated, players join clubs and change clubs for a whole variety of reasons...

Does anyone really believe that a spending cap will level the playing field as I assume is the intention? Will kids leaving school decide to join Penrith or Parramatta instead of Uni or Randwick as a result? Most likely outcome IMO is players leaving rugby and going to league where they can...

3 way battle for the final top 6 spot between Wicks, Pirates and Norths IMO. I'm assuming Uni will at least beat Norths in the last round even if the Rats beat them this weekend so they will finish on at least 52 points. Unlikely Wicks will add to their current points total of 48. Norths...

Unfortunately Tui is the "big young second rower" referred to in Sid's post (#1369) above. Anyone have any update on his condition?

Jed Holloway was outstanding for the Rebels. He scored 2 tries and set another up in the first 20 minutes and the game was virually all over. Every time I see him play I can't help wondering why he doesn't have a permanent run on position at S15 level.

The Wicks have an opposed session against Argentina at Latham tomorrow night. Not sure of the wisdom of that a few weeks out from the finals. Don't be surprised if there's a few withdrawals from the named team for Saturday.

Don't get me wrong, I love the place -- great food, friendly people (off the field anyway!), plenty or room to move around and watch the game from different angles, easy access from public transport, plenty of parking, but I just wish the camera tower wasn't smack bang in front of the covered...

OK, fair points. I saw a cable from the power pole outside the ground to the back of the scoreboard which I assumed meant there was some power available. But does the camera tower have to be right in front of the covered seating area?

Hope the early departure of Brogan Roods doesn't result in another lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Dash Kuate had his best game for the club IMO and there were also good contributions from Mitch Short, Henry Hutchison, Jack Pennington, Mark Baldwin, Jock Armstrong and Tevita Vea, apart from Kellaway who showed his class with every involvement. I suspect he'll be pressing for a run on spot...

Unfortunately the "grandstand" has had the seating removed and the ground can only be seen from a small area in the north eastern corner anyway. The view of the ground from the rest of the stand is obscured by trees and stuff. Plenty of room on the eastern side for a stand or some sort of...

If that was a subtle attempt at insulting the Galloping Greens you need to be much more direct. We don't get subtlety -- we're more into the sledge hammer approach. :p
