Maybe, but what about North Sydney, Concord or Chatswood or even Rat Park?

    "Club Rugby" on 7Two

I'm puzzled again as to why 7TWO would show Manly v Wicks next Saturday instead of Eastwood v Warringah given the outcome of the same two matchups today. Highly likely that Manly will smash the Wicks again :( and Eastwood v Rats will be another nail biter. Weird! I'd suggest the 7TWO...

    Shute Shield 2015

The NSWRU advised a couple of weeks ago that the highest placed 1st grade teams would host each of the finals games provided their grounds were available. Given the fact that Forshaw had already been allocated all the colts games I would have thought that the NSWRU would have had a couple of...

    Shute Shield 2015

Souths have been dudded again -- why are they playing at Uni Oval next weekend when they finished ahead of them on the table? Why aren't they playing at a neutral ground with Forshaw not being available?

    "Club Rugby" on 7Two

Strange decision by 7TWO to cover the Uni v Norths game this week with two other games involving top 6 teams playing each other ie Eastwood v Rats, Manly v Wicks. The commentators (at the end of last week's coverage) were suggesting the Uni v Norths game could decide which of the two teams...

    Shute Shield 2015

HJ, I can tell you not too many of the Coogee faithful predicted the win last week either! I'm trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I'm struggling. If Manly win tomorrow we get to travel to Manly again next week for an instant replay. If we manage somehow to pull off a win...

    Manly 2015

Hey Dave, what time do the ferries start running to Manly? 9am start for 4th grade -- hope the guys have a quiet night tonight and remember to set their alarm clocks ;)

    Shute Shield 2015

OK, but they could probably fit him under the points cap in 2nds so I guess he must be injured if he hasn't been named.

    Shute Shield 2015

I wonder if we'll see a cameo appearance from Paddy Ryan in 3rds or 4ths so he doesn't count as a fresh reserve for 1sts?

    Shute Shield 2015

Uni were close last week -- 94 points in the run on side + Jake Wainwright who appears to have been a fresh reserve (2 points) = 96. They've left out a couple of high pointers this week (Paddy Ryan 16, Mat Philip 10) so should be able to fit in Dennis (16 points?) and Latu (12).

I thought I spotted Matt Cararro with the coaches at Coogee on Saturday. Anyone know why he's not playing for the Wicks?

    Shute Shield 2015

And he hasn't played a single game for either the Beasts or the Wicks so he'd have to be introduced to the players and probably given directions to the ground! We could also select Matt Giteau and Drew Mitchell if someone had been smart enough to register them ;) While on the subject of...

    Shute Shield 2015

I believe the competition rules state that a player must play at least 2 games for his club to play in the finals, even if he's been absent playing S15. Is that correct, in which case Dennis could not play in the finals if this is his first game? Unless he receives special dispensation of...

    Sydney University Football Club

Well done to Tom Carter for playing on with the club after retiring from S15. A much maligned player, but his heart is obviously in the right place. I wish more players would stick around to help their clubs and mentor the next generation.

Heaven forbid the fans actually having access to the competition rules

    Shute Shield 2015

Coogee Oval has been in great condition for several years now. Although we all get pissed off at the council for insisting on lower grade games being moved to Latham they have done a great job looking after the Oval and keeping it in good condition. It also recovers quickly from heavy rain. Pity...
