Uni were close last week -- 94 points in the run on side + Jake Wainwright who appears to have been a fresh reserve (2 points) = 96. They've left out a couple of high pointers this week (Paddy Ryan 16, Mat Philip 10) so should be able to fit in Dennis (16 points?) and Latu (12).

I believe the competition rules state that a player must play at least 2 games for his club to play in the finals, even if he's been absent playing S15. Is that correct, in which case Dennis could not play in the finals if this is his first game? Unless he receives special dispensation of...

Well done to Tom Carter for playing on with the club after retiring from S15. A much maligned player, but his heart is obviously in the right place. I wish more players would stick around to help their clubs and mentor the next generation.

Coogee Oval has been in great condition for several years now. Although we all get pissed off at the council for insisting on lower grade games being moved to Latham they have done a great job looking after the Oval and keeping it in good condition. It also recovers quickly from heavy rain. Pity...
