Those consecutive seasons catching up. Never seen a player escape it yet.

I'd be giving Timani a chance personally. Not only is he a bit of a monster, but he's grown hands.

Stormers vs Waratahs Round 10 @ Newlands

ForceFan, I don't agree. The team decides who is going to play on the ball, and off the ball, and when. Holloway plays consistently in the wide channels, not because he's a 'seagull' but because he's deliberately positioned there. He doesn't 'have' to do anything like what you say. He might be...

Seriously? Folau when in form makes most of his breaks by accelerating past tacklers from a slow jog or standing start, and them failing to lay a hand in him.

Folau isn't slow. He's been run down by some very fast players like Beauden Barrett. His top end gas is on a par with other 13s. What Folau does have is world-class acceleration.

Horne's not flashy but he's very solid and a good finisher, as well as being a brutal defender as you say. I wouldn't say he's less good than a Corey Jane, who kept being selected in a great New Zealand team. X-factor, schmecx factor.

Stormers vs Waratahs Round 10 @ Newlands

The Tahs actually have chances from here. They just have to keep improving to secure a finals spot, and then it's whoever's the best team on the days.

Stormers vs Waratahs Round 10 @ Newlands

Nah, that would require the ref to rule that he would've jumped and competed if he hadn't slipped. My herring is ecky. These kinds of predictive complexities are why these situations don't require intention. If you get them in a dangerous position, whether deliberately or not, and they land on...

Stormers vs Waratahs Round 10 @ Newlands

It's not for the referee to call that he would've missed if he'd kept his feet. Nor does it seem plausible, unless he has the super power of vaporization. The slip was thus a red herring and was rightly ignored, as it would be if you slip in a lifting tackle and accidentlally dump the player on...

Wasn't the red mandatory under the laws?

After this weekend, thank goodness for the Saffers!

    Brumbies 2016

The reason that most of your favourite players played for the Brumbies was politics at the Reds.

    Brumbies 2016

They're not fast enough to keep up.

Indeed. A star team will often beat a team of stars, but to beat the New Zealanders, we need both. They have both.

That's a much better description than the awful "x-factor".

The fact that you can run over the 14 doesn't mean you can only run over the 14.

Phipps' pass isn't inaccurate because of his speed to the breakdown. It's because he passes the ball straight off (and in some cases directly out of) the ruck. It's a deliberate trade-off, and in Cheika's mind, a winning one. One howler is a good swop for twenty faster clearances.
