Pace is a big word there. But not just pace in running. They could even put Corey Jane in gaps.

    Waratahs 2016

Yeah, Hayman, Dowd, Brown, Loe and McDowell were all tuckered out by 30. It must've been those Zimmer frames!

    Waratahs 2016

Nah, Kepu's a big investment approaching his peak years as a tight head.

    Thanks Aussie teams

I think people are putting the cart before the horse here. We don't need depth to make Super Rugby teams more competitive. We need those Super Rugby teams to build depth. We may not have sufficient depth to support five competitive teams and satisfy the recruitment demands of Europe at this...

    The Wallabies Thread

Israel has been very far from the best back in Australia. He's clearly not right yet. It's not just that he's not getting past people like we're used to, but he's not trying to. But it's early days.

Phipps is pretty integral to the Cheika game-plan. I think he'll want another Phipps.

    Yes please.

    The Wallabies Thread

The set of Wallabies that someone, somewhere is demanding to be dropped would probably beat the Wallabies.

Rebels v Cheetahs, 22 April @ AAMI Park

Do you think so? I think he just makes stuff up to be negative. But you're right in the sense that he's nonetheless one of the better Aussie rugby journos, in the same way as the cleverest of the infinite number of monkeys who must eventually reproduce the works of Shakespeare, is the best...

Rebels v Cheetahs, 22 April @ AAMI Park

Marto, like Paul Cully on Rugby Heaven, and most writers on the Roar, is an idiot. I hate the fact that we've followed American sport journalism by having a bunch of amiable idiots to provide 'colour' who end up also providing analysis. Kearns is the correct level for a rugby idiot. Marto is too...

Rebels v Cheetahs, 22 April @ AAMI Park

I have serious doubts about Debra. He does some things quite well but many others very badly. Having just bigged-up Hodge, my inclination is to pour cold water on Debreczeni's Wallaby aspirations at this stage.

    Force v Waratahs, R9 2016

I'm afraid you're living in mirror-world there. The Tahs will blitz the Force, led by Beale.

Rebels v Cheetahs, 22 April @ AAMI Park

Not on my part, I was joking. :) He's played well in *several* games, not just tonight. His debut was exceptional.

Rebels v Cheetahs, 22 April @ AAMI Park

Why? He's playing for Super Rugby team, and thus by definition is on the fringes of selection. He's scored four excellent individual tries in just a few games. What more does it take for a newcomer to be picked as a future Wob? The value of pi to 126 decimal places tattooed on your posterior?

Rebels v Cheetahs, 22 April @ AAMI Park

    And Hodge a future Wallaby.

Rebels v Cheetahs, 22 April @ AAMI Park

Game! The Rebels now an official long-range try scoring team.

    Brumbies 2016

Sure, I didn't read the thread before posting.

    Brumbies 2016

Saying he was the Financial committee chair isn't libelous. Calling him the "ringleader in all this" by name in writing might be.

    Waratahs 2016

    I blame Robbie Deans.

    Brumbies 2016

You'd be wise not to say that in writing, mate. ...oops.
