Yeah, I likewise think we should be forgetting about Carter, Mumm, Horwill. Coleman and Arnold are such exciting prospects.

He plays where he's told. I think that ignoring the game plan to go head-down in rucks to impress keyboard warriors would seem him soon dropped!

As Eddie Jones once famously said: you need one who mostly plays on the ball, and one who mostly plays off the ball, and one who's sometimes on and sometimes off the ball.

    Waratahs 2016

I think the difference has a lot to do with M Cheika. If he'd got O'Connor at the same time then it'd have been different. Sadly Cooper was cruelled by injury.

    Waratahs 2016

I'm greatly enjoying a Carlton Draught at the moment. A much underrated beer.

    Waratahs v Bulls, Round 12, 14 May 2016

A nice one. Wallatah was a poster with an ever-so-slightly surreal, whimsical posting style, quite similar to yours.

    Rebels v Brumbies, Round 12, 13th May 2016

One positive for Brumbies fans is that all this butt-clenching is good for the derriere.

    Waratahs v Bulls, Round 12, 14 May 2016

Were you ever Wallatah on Planet Rugby, galumay?

    Reds 2016

Meh. His highlights are all the same. Beats man. Scores. Beats man. Scores. Beats man. Scores. He needs to mix it up a bit more. Maybe some Falcons.

    Waratahs v Cheetahs, Round 11, 7 May 2016

Can't agree. Brumbies were best at the start. Then the Chiefs were unbeatable. Now it's the Highlanders. It's whoever's playing best at the end's title to lose.

    Thanks Aussie teams

Sure, but so did jerseys with collars, part-time players, unlimited midweek boozing and Powerfinger. I prefer to think that increased depth makes us stonger, despite all the spooky coincidences.

    Waratahs v Cheetahs, Round 11, 7 May 2016

I doubt we'll accommodate them by keeping it there.

    The new Wallaby jersey

I'd happily wear that to the pub. And I can borrow my mates' All Black shirts for the disco.

    The new Wallaby jersey

Perfect. Undoubtedly some will decry the lack of a collar, green stripes on the sleeves, heavy cotton fabric, or any other minute difference between this and what they'd personally design, but really, what's not to like? The only way to get a broadly positive reaction to a Wallaby jersey would...

Yes my bad. For some reason my memory had Phipps there.

Here's hoping for a quick Joe Tomane recovery. He's become the fast man with good hands we need. By far the most dangerous back in Oz this year, and up there with any.

    The Wallabies Thread

I think he tried Genia, then went back to Phipps. Genia just doesn't fit the Cheika gameplan. He might have at his best, but he seemed to have a short time at his best. Even when he was at his best, when he had a bullet pass, he was a thinker at the base. Phipps may be a relative bonehead, but...

    The Wallabies Thread

I'm not sure why people are picking Genia over Phipps. Phipps is going fine, and does a job Cheika wants, at a price Cheika seems happy to pay. We're not going to beat anyone this year by slowing the game down at the base of the ruck.

    The Wallabies Thread

Carter's main advantage is that he looks a bit like Lood de Jager. All he needs to do is get bigger, faster, meaner, smarter and suck his chin in a couple of inches, and he'll go fine.

    He's in the incubation phase.
