Rebels v Hurricanes - Super Rugby 2016 Rd 8 AAMI Park

To be fair, tonight it has been the best by some distance compared to all the other games this season. Canes aggressive defence causing Rebels all sorts. Barrett taking on the line at will. Back 3 for the Canes playing very well.

    Waratahs v Brumbies - Round 8, 2016

Because the Tahs have a NZer for a coach and that's what we do, we put fullbacks at centre..... RWC99 is still raw

Rebels v Hurricanes - Super Rugby 2016 Rd 8 AAMI Park

The Canes are yet to beat a side above them on the table as well. I'm expecting a fairly even contest. oztimmay - the Canes back three have not been too flash. The key to the Canes so far has been the play of Ardie Savea, Fifita and Victor Vito. Other than that their backs have been incredibly...

    Brumbies v Chiefs - R6 2016

Did To'omua go to the blood bin or have multiple concussion tests because I swear the only time he was sighted was at the restarts..... The Brumbies had a real problem tonight (not the first time this season) in getting To'omua and Kurindrani involved in the attack in any meaningful way. Some...

    Very poor play by Coleman

    Brumbies v Chiefs - R6 2016

Not sure I agree with you TBH and MHCS about the magnitude of the game. Just another game with a long way to go in the season. If either team drops the game (could be a draw) I don't think it's going to do their relative finals chances too much harm. Both will be thereabouts at the business end.

    Force v Brumbies - Round 3 2016

Alby would be a good impact/closer player. His service isn't as swift, but his combination with the 1st 5 is also not there yet.

    Richie Mccaw retires

Yeah I think George was the youngest player to get to 100 test caps. It really is amazing he got to a hundred tests and his knees held out. Especially with all that kneeling on the ground at ruck time....., :)

    Richie Mccaw retires

Gee Tomikin you make it sound like Smith had a bunch of mugs around him. Bernie, Gregan, Burkey, the world class Nate Sharpe, and a few others might have something to say about that.....

Evolution at Green and Gold Rugby - PLEASE READ

Shame the game thread was locked, Im sure I had one more post about Wallabies being the favourites, Pocock gonna get us, our scrum not up to it and how we failed in Sydney...... :)

    The Wallabies Thread

I definitely thought it was missing from the Wallabies in the final and if used effectively can draw in players even from the very best defences. Perhaps Douglas could've provided that as a decent carrier close to action, but even with his injury no one else stepped into that void, so it tells...

RWC 2015 Final - Australia v New Zealand, Twickenham, Sunday 1 November, 3:00 AEDT

[sarcasm] Sounds like a PR stunt as the cameras of the world were on the ground and players. [/alert]

RWC 2015 Final - Australia v New Zealand, Twickenham, Sunday 1 November, 3:00 AEDT

Rumour has it that he went up to the kid after and there was an ensuing argument as Khoder tried to carve out his 5% of the medal....

RWC 2015 Final - Australia v New Zealand, Twickenham, Sunday 1 November, 3:00 AEDT

I doubt it's about the medal for Sonny or any of the winners. The experience, occasion and memories with his team mates is worth the sacrifice. Not some medal.

RWC 2015 Final - Australia v New Zealand, Twickenham, Sunday 1 November, 3:00 AEDT

It was noticeable while watching (and @Force Fan's stats back it up) that in that critical period of defence and then counter attack ie 60-75 minutes, that McCaw really upped his workrate. I thought he was everywhere and whether it was his tackling or ruck work, he made life difficult for the...

But is Fardy used? Didn't take any LO ball in the final that I can recall?

RWC 2015 Final - Australia v New Zealand, Twickenham, Sunday 1 November, 3:00 AEDT

And it's a pretty bright future I reckon. Building depth at lock and solidifying a midfield combination that you can build the rest of the backline around will be key. There's going to be question marks put over the Hooper and Pocock combination in light of how the lineout performed in the...

RWC 2015 Final - Australia v New Zealand, Twickenham, Sunday 1 November, 3:00 AEDT

Go back through all my posts and see if I've ever talked about Barnes. I've been here long enough. Go over to the Silverfern as well. And I don't think I'm the only poster that is over the ref whinging especially when there's so much more to discuss about the test. The whole "rub of the...
