RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

"Resting" players in a knock out test match? mmm.... sounds like a recipe for disaster/egg on your face. Start your best XV barring injuries and if you are leading well then sub earlier than normal.

RWC QF 2 NZ v FRA (Millenium Stadium) 18th Oct 0600 AEDT

WOOLI, it was hardly rocket science that the ABs would meet France in the quarters. Ireland have been in good form for a while now and were widely picked to top their pool.

RWC: IRE v FRA (POOL D) Mon 12th@2:45am

It was a bit of a fizzer in the end. Lot's of handling errors, poor execution, nothing kicks and disjointed attack. The French team looked to switch off in the final quarter even with the game within reach. Bring on France!

RWC: IRE v FRA (POOL D) Mon 12th@2:45am

This is the test I've been looking forward to the most. Both teams have looked pretty good. Unless Tonga pulls off the biggest upset since Cain knocked over Abel, the winner will play the Argies and I think both teams would back themselves in that one.

Ranfurly Shield, ITM Cup & Heartland Championship: NZ domestic comps 2015

Enjoyed? It was a poor game Dan :) Errors, poor execution, no real highlights etc etc. I guess the only positives for me was Todd's play in the last quarter and I thought McKenzie's field kicking was pretty good.

RWC: NZL v ARG (Wembley Stadium) Pool C

B.. bu..but... Back to the test, watched a replay again today and still can't believe how NMS dropped that pass from SBW. Sonny did the right thing to delay the pass to totally commit both players to him opening up a clear path for NMS. Also, Aaron Smith is some halfback. The boy never shuts...

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

Not in the NFL they don't, which would be more comparable to rugby than say baseball or NBA.

RWC: SAF v JAP (Brighton Stadium) Pool B

The footage of one of the security guard at the ground pumping his fist and jumping up and down after the final try was fantastic.

RWC: NZL v ARG (Wembley Stadium) Pool C

I'm surprised that you're surprised that no one else is seeing it the way you are. Looking at the sequence of events including the awkward way that he fell and how Dan reached down before contact is made with leg/boot, then this would appear to have been sensibly dealt with.

Surely not. Murray Whyte must be masquerading as a Southerner for this World Cup.....

RWC: SAF v JAP (Brighton Stadium) Pool B

This is a great video from behind the Japan try line. Watch a couple of the fans pointing out the overlap on the left wing a number of phases before the final try. Poor defensive realignment by the Boks. Capped off a very inconsistent and mainly poor effort by the Boks. But also capped a pretty...

Ranfurly Shield, ITM Cup & Heartland Championship: NZ domestic comps 2015

Wasted my time watching that game last night. Only saving grace was that I watched the Cantab v Turbos game straight after :) Counties skills and execution was shockingly bad. Not just weather affected, but no respect for the ball. Some of Tana's tactics in those conditions were off as well.

Wallabies v USA Eagles, 5th September, Soldier Field, Chicago

Wouldn't To'omua be in the 'rested' group as he is a pretty important player for the Wallabies WC chances whether it be at 10 or 12? It will be interesting to see how Speight goes at centre and whether the combination with Gits clicks. If he goes well he could be an ideal bench option for the...

Wallabies v USA Eagles, 5th September, Soldier Field, Chicago

So in other words, he's packed the sads..... Wouldn't it be in his and OZ interests he keep playing should the call come?

With all those injuries, to me the Wallabies got as far as they could in 2011. They played one hell of a test vs the Boks and then came up against the hosts at a ground that had not been kind to them for many years. All things considered, the Wallabies had a pretty good tournament.

Only a rolled ankle for Slade. But we are in the silly season I guess, every little ingrown toe nail will be reported as an "injury scare"...... Despite playing well in attack against the Boks, I think there is also defensive concerns with Lima. This is one area that Barrett has improved out...

oldboy - I heard Naholo's speed work at training was off the charts. add that to his very good skill set and in my view it sets him apart from the other wing options. I didn't think they would select him but am quietly excited to see him in there. He did some pretty phenomenol things this Super...

Very good squad and no complaints from me at all. I think it was a fairly simple equation, they would take Barrett and Slade (over Dagg and Lima) so they could take the two extra out and out wingers (Naholo and NMS). I don't think the likes of NMS is any chance to play fullback ahead of...

Bledisloe #2 - AUS v NZL, Eden Park, Auckland, August 15th

Due to the extremely low level cloud cover that hangs over Eden Park and the whole of Aotearoa :)
