RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

Anyone criticising the intercept try, go and watch the replay and how two Scottish defenders rushed the defensive line leaving Slipper in two minds. Slipper stuffed up and Scotland pounced. Was excellent defensive play.

There is something seriously wrong with the game of rugby that Yellow Cards are being handed out for that sort of thing, let alone a penalty

Eh? It was pretty clear that Sio went to ground first under the pressure. Was clear to Jackson on the sideline and then the replay.

And I recall along with my family thinking the AB defence was powderpuff in that first half. Second half was something else though.

I think it's going to be epic. Forget about what has happened so far this year - RC or RWC, it means nothing in my view. This French test gone was one of those rare occasions that our attack and defence came off and the French offered very little in attack and when we got a sniff we scored. I...

Slimani has been going to ground a bit, which hopefully Cron has been telling Wyatt how to take advantage of. I think Crockett's in for a big game and his extra work in the tight will be a big plus.

IF NZ and Aust meet ........

I wouldn't pick any Australians in an ANZAC side........ It's an oldie but a goodie :)

IF NZ and Aust meet ........

The only thing similar about Read and Pocock and the way they play and how their respective teams use them is that they pack down at scrum time at no8. Other than that they are very different propositions. Consider the mauls and how Pocock is used at the tail. The ABs use Coles in that role...

I agree, the onfield reffing has been of a high standard. What had been "interesting" has been some of the interventions of the TMO. Certainly seem to be more involved. As for Owens, he's a good communicator.

qwerty - McCaw tops the tackle count for the ABs in almost every test he plays. He is still far more prominent at the breakdown than Cane. AS long as McCaw has one good foot he is still very much in the top 2-3 players for the ABs. But not that an Aussie sees that.... As for Carter, he may not...

Is that Rattue? Cane and Barrett have been excellent off the bench to help close out a number of tests.

I can guarantee McCaw will be dropped for the upcoming test match.

Umm no. I'm a die hard AB supporter but I like seeing rugby at its best and Pocock is a phenomenal player, so I want him out playing. Many of the NZ rugby fans I know are of the same thinking.
