Wallabies v England, Sat 11th June, 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

Looks a good side Slim. I think the bench will include Skelton and McCalman.

Wales tour of New Zealand 2016

Yeah listening to Foxy I reckon it was a line ball call for DMac. He has a number of work ons but with Skudder out he probably gets a shot earlier than expected. Lots of talk about Barrett being that next lock, and whilst he's been very good for the Saders, I think it's too early. He doesn't...

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Round 14 - Friday 27 May 2016

I mentioned him, when I said "maligned Tahs forward"

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Round 14 - Friday 27 May 2016

Fantastic running footy from the Tahs. Slickest hands I've seen from them for some time. Really owned the Chiefs at the collisions. Was good to see a couple of the maligned Tahs forwards run hard and straight and actually make some metres up the middle of the park. Hooper and Folau were...

    The Wallabies Thread

Amusing reading in particular the outrage over a few names in a 39 man squad. The way I look at these squads when the ABs do it is that the majority of players selected are because they will be in the Test team every week. Some players are selected because they have been on the fringe and due...

Super Rugby 2016: New Zealand Conference

I don't think Kaino is out given he was named in the leadership group this past week. I reckon if Kaino doesn't start they will look at Luatua. I personally wouldn't like Dixon covering lock and he need not given we have quality there to back up our two world class starters - Tuipoluto...

Rebels v Force Rd 14 Sun 29th May

The Blues v Force game was painful to watch for the most part. Hopefully both teams can come with a bit of running and some quality forward play. Rebels by 4 in a cripple fight.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Last month the Cockatoo Island camp I recall. I wouldn't read too much into some of the selections there. Sometimes they are an a opportunity to just look closer at someone the coaches haven't necessarily seen up close before and get to know. Those left out like Robinson and Alexander, the...

    Crusaders v Waratahs, Round 13, 20 May 2016

Tordah don't bother. Was a little surprised to see Folau at fullback for basically the whole game. Was there a late change in the lineup? I know there was a defensive pattern of positional changes involving 3 players, but it seemed he was basically playing his normal fullback game in attack...

Jarryd Hayne signs with Fiji Sevens

Vito was awesome at 7s on the wing and that was after he had shown promise as a XVs player for Wellington. Messam previously was an excellent 7s player whilst a XVs player. This stint around he has stunk the house out.

I don't think age is an issue at all. NZ's best player (Tim Mikkelson) will be 30 in August and he's an outside back. A mainstay in the NZ team has been DJ Forbes and he's 33.

    Crusaders v Waratahs, Round 13, 20 May 2016

I was really hoping Toddy would start Havili and Crotty together. Fonotia got burnt for pace last week. Crotty is our best defender and would form a good combo with Havili who is quick and runs good lines.

    Crusaders v Waratahs, Round 13, 20 May 2016

Ellis plays his 150th game. Crotty back in the starting lineup, which is good news.

Jarryd Hayne signs with Fiji Sevens

Why? Players are dropped, rotated, rested, etc all the time. Whether it be for individual games or tournaments. Quality teams have always had to make tough player choices when it comes to tournaments. That's one of the reasons that make them a quality team because they have more than enough...

    Crusaders v Waratahs, Round 13, 20 May 2016

Very unfortunate that Beale is out. I also think he's been the best back in Australia this year, and by some margin. Error rate is down, playing more direct, involving his team mates more and they are feeding off his confidence. Almost as if he's rediscovered that confidence we saw when he was...

I have it on good authority that if he doesn't make the cut he will still be going to Rio as an honorary flag bearer.....

Why Toddy didn't bring Crotty on earlier to stop the bleeding is beyond me. Things definitely tightened up when he came on. Well done Landers.
