The debt that was originally paid for using Govt money and NFJ approved the payment without knowledge of the Board: something NFJ admits. Not fair - I totally agree

    Australian Rugby / RA

Near as I can tell, one of the last administrative acts of NFJ in rugby. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/rugby-union/exwallabies-nick-farrjones-jim-williams-and-bruce-worboys-caught-up-in-learn-earn-legend-loan-controversy-20161103-gsgz0w.html Poido also locked in the back bedroom for the next 5...

    You're 130% correct

Poor Kafe, he hasn't been the same since they took his chalkboard away. For someone who was in a High Performance role for a few years to turn around and make criticism exposes his character.

    Reds v Sharks, Rnd 5 2020, Lang Park Sat 29 7:15 EDST

For all the talk of this side developing and showings signs of improvement the fact remains they’ve only won 2 of their last 11 matches.

Let’s not forget that along with trousering a heap of cash with their tv rights deal the NZRU also gained a 5% stake in their chosen broadcaster. At the time I thought this a little strange but it makes far more sense now.

In all these discussions the players get off lightly. We sack coach after coach at provincial and national level and nothing changes. I believe for the last decade, save for two false dawns in 2011 and 2014, that our players are uncoachable. That’s not to detract from the abomination that is...

If Izzy got $8M, just imagine what sort of payout JC would have gotten if he had have retained Izzy's legal team.

I'm glad this has now ended and the thirst for publicity IF seems to have developed can go on unabated without rugby being part of it. My employer has made it very clear that if I make contrary statements to what their stated goals or values are I can expect to be subject to disciplinary...

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

The grab from Cheika’s presser....who wants to join me in the cupboard? How dare he make statements pre World Cup that if he didn’t win it he’d walk away then get asked a question about that statement and feel aggrieved. Knuckles wasn’t afforded such courtesy in 2007 in far more difficult...

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

I’ve really struggled this support the team after Link got shafted. I’m looking forward to a new coaching regime and hopefully a coach who displays the sorts of behaviour that doesn’t make you want to hide in a cupboard

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has been selected for the sole reason that Georgina Robinson can write a 2000 word puff-piece about him making the squad

TRC Round 1: South Africa v Australia, Sunday 21 July 1:05am AEST

When the Wallaby captain makes the statement post match that “we showed a lot of different pictures (in attack) but the reality is those things didn’t happen and we were left with them doubling our points.” analysis is not required.

Kearns as CEO is a truly frightening prospect, as is Kafer. The only way out is for RA is to be put into administration and the ‘good rugby man’ network that has lead us here to be totally jettisoned.

    The Israel Folau saga

The fact that RA cannot terminate a player's contract without having to have it decided by an 'independent' panel is once again being shown up a farcical. This situation should have been rectified after the Beale fiasco.

    The Israel Folau saga

Folau's own words "I told Raelene if she felt the situation had become untenable – that I was hurting Rugby Australia, its sponsors and the Australian rugby community to such a degree that things couldn’t be worked through – I would walk away from my contract, immediately." Read more at...

    The Israel Folau saga

Folau can say whatever he wants. The issue is his employer has set guidelines for what he should or shouldn't say and he's agreed to those terms, either implicitly or explicitly. For me, if Folau wants to express views such as these, he probably needs to stop working for his current employer.

    The Israel Folau saga

I’d say RA may well be the first sporting body to no longer recognise Israel

    Round 4: Rebels v Brumbies - Fri 8th @7:45pm

With Thorn’s myopic view of how a ten should play, you’re probably right Tatts.
