    Bledisloe 1 - Saturday 18 August 2018 - ANZ Stadium, Sydney

It’s actually a good thing that the line out was so poor as it’s giving us something to gnash our teeth about rather that the 40 tackles we missed.

If Perese goes in the manner that's being reported then it's akin the QRU selling off the silver.

I guess you are right in some respects, Reg. Contracting isn't the QRU's strong-suit...ask Knuckles.

Yes it may only be an invitation to treat at this stage but that's the first stage in most contracting processes so it's a logical progression and one which would be unprecedented even in the Pantheon of QRU dark-side of the moon decision making.

When the Chairman of the QRU says "We want Brad Thorn as a 10-year head coach but it's up to us to create the right high-performance environment for him to want to" I'd say that's a fairly emphatic signal that the QRU do actually want Thorn to coach at Ballymore for the next decade. I cannot...

    Round 18 - Reds Vs Rebels - Jul 6, 7.45PM

I've seen Tuttle play a few club games and he was head and shoulders above everyone else. Plus he was draining conversions from the sideline.....not that club form means anything these days it seems.

    Round 18 - Reds Vs Rebels - Jul 6, 7.45PM

The good thing about matches being on a Friday is that it gets the worst of the weekend out of the way early.

Top of my coaching wish-list would be Tony Brown; at least I think he's within a price range we'd be able to afford. He's been with Jamie Joseph now for 4-5 years and some good must have rubbed off on him? Granted the Sunwolves haven't set the world on fire but they are terribly under-manned...

Perhaps they could try and bring in a former coach as a mentor or appoint two head coaches in an attempt to improve things?....oh, wait

In reference to the McBain/Slack/Miller coaching fiasco above, let’s not forget that Miller is now QRU Chairman. Apparently he was just wandering around the Ballymore carpark when the position came up.

    Round 10 - Reds v Chiefs, Saturday 21st April 2018 7:45pm @ Lang Park

I agree but that would require the ‘Good old boys’ to cede control, and that isn’t going to happen. And anyway, the QRU would fuck it up like the they did with the last coaching consultant they contracted.

    Round 10 - Reds v Chiefs, Saturday 21st April 2018 7:45pm @ Lang Park

That is the key point; these are very experienced professional rugby players not ‘young and inexperienced ’ as we keep hearing. There is no direction and no sense of improvement, or even a recognition that things aren’t working seemingly. I detest the lack of accountability of those in the...

Thorn’s management skills are looking very much like those of Robbie Deans. Players seem to be excluded without any chance to return. Deans’ tenure as wallaby coach was characterised by selection mysteries, poor performances and a lack of accountability and I see many similarities to the...
