Yes officially 22.5 to accomodate the max 90 min per day rule, but have been more like 27.5 in practice. NSWRU u15s have been the stand out, defeating the Syd u16s and only just going down to NSW Schools u16s in the dying minutes. Their enthusiasm and rucking has been exceptional and I think...

Yes, speed for speeds sake is all well and good but not much use to CAS opens unless the proponent is playing the game.

Interesting to see a few of the other boys mentioned above running last night. In 16s Byron HD recorded fastest 100m time with 11.24, Cameron 11.5 and Towns not far behind with 11.99. Throw in Lloyd and you could make up a pacey CAS backline next year.

I'd be very surprised if it's Waves - they are a proud rugby school and generally up for a battle wherever it may be. Barker doesn't make a huge amount of sense either - sure they may have been a bit weaker this year, but these things are cyclical - 3 years ago that were unbeatable in the CAS.

Admit I'm struggling to see which would be materially worse off than under the present comp structure. Which do you think?

^^^Not sure ARU are the problem. CHS won 2 of 3 matches at this year's U16s schools round robin weekend and had 1 player selected into NSW Schools compared to 9 selected from one of the teams they defeated, ISA, who won only 1 of 3. The sole CHS player selected had played for NSWJRU u15s the...
