    Brumbies 2020

In terms of building potential, this could be our team of the future (age in brackets) if we ensure we retain the players: Vunipola Fifita (23) Folau Fainga'a (24) Tom Ross (21) Nick Frost (19) Darcy Swain (21) Brodie Leber (21) Jahrome Brown (22) Rob Valetini (20) Ryan Lonergan (21) Reesjan...

Yep. Our last signing straight out of school (To'omua) did pretty well for himself.

Hawera isn't committed beyond this year, it seems. Our options would be Bayley Kuenzle and Reesjan Pasitoa, the former being a good prospect and the latter exciting many people north of the Tweed.

How would you have felt in 2014 if you got Jean Cook instead of Jacques Potgieter? Signing other players was part of the reason you let Adam Coleman go to the Force in 2014. I know it's hard to trade on potential, but gamble on players you'd be proud to see succeed.

I feel like we have a good core of youngsters here, which, if retained, can be the backbone of the Brumbies for the next five to ten years. Guys around 20-24 who are already good enough to play a role in the squad, and seem to only be getting better.

Sadly, BR, yes. However, it is looking more and more likely that he will be back in 2021, so next year we should still have Joe, Ryan, and Matt. Interesting that we have no dates on the Lolesio and Ikitau contracts. Also questionable that Lolesio is the flyhalf of the future when we are...

We effectively have three experienced international-quality 13s available in Kuridrani, Kerevi, and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). Any team that gets knocked down to its third choice 13 is probably in trouble, and Hodge will only end up ther because we've had three season-ending injuries, not because he's first choice.

The Brumbies fans are with you on this, the man is a machine. Fardy-like in his ability, workrate, and cerebral playstyle.

I love a good showing from Lilo, but he's not been putting in these performances consistently this season. He's pulled it out for the Chiefs and the Blues, but not much else.

So, first of all, I think we all agree that there isn't a team on Earth that wouldn't be improved by having David Pocock in their team. Furthermore, unlike a Foley-Cooper argument, picking Pocock doesn't lock you in to a particular playstyle, so it's not like there are teams that would have to...

So, if Pocock is back in time for the Sunwolves away, that means that the maximum playing time he can achieve this season is 620 minutes, not counting play after the siren or overtime. However, if we don't make the finals, that means he can only achieve 380 minutes, less than five full games. It...

Totally agree with Reg (for better or for worse), but I also don't see a world where we don't have a guy like Beale, Hunt, or To'omua on the field as well. Foley isn't going to be wanting for playmaking support if he needs it.

Great 12. Will go down in history as one of the best 12s to ever play in Aus. There is a funny story about when Toulon announced the signing of Giteau to the team, and Wilkinson was worried that he was going to take his spot in the team. His value in the 2015 World Cup was almost immeasurable...

To'omua will be depth, he's a good player at either 10 or 12, but we have good options at 12 (Kerevi, Meakes, Hunt, Beale) and a first choice 10. His best chance at playing is if Cheika doesn't pick Cooper and To'omua acts as the utility inside backs reserve.

Reckon you'll find more than a few Brumbies fans who happily forget his time at 10.

It's just a sensible thing to do; make sure you have three players who could play in any position. Lock, backrow, and wing are all pretty easy to have someone step in; they won't necessarily perform as well as someone who plays there all the time, but they can do a job. But prop, hooker...

    Brumbies 2019

It's nowhere near as bad as it was under Larkham in 2014 and 2015, but we're still in a situation where we dropped 19 competition points through lapses in concentration in 2018, and we're basically halfway to replicating that after dropping 13 points in 2019. I get that mistakes happen, and that...
