    Brumbies 2019

I'll simply say, on the Reds game, that we were tame in possession and fragile in defence. Missed tackle count may not be high, but you can only miss tackles you attempt, and they were finding gaps all over the field. Our offence was non-existant. I want Speight dropped and I want Lilo to be...

    Reds v Brumbies

Time for the Brumbies to line up another trademark poaching of a talented Queenslander!

    Reds 2019

Sorovi-Stewart were the starting halves against the Highlanders and the Crusaders. Last season, the Reds only started the same halves as the previous week seven times.

We've seen Wales complete a grand slam by playing to conditions and to the opposition. If we are able to pick a squad to do the same, I say do it. However, that requires a Biggar-style to complement Quade and Foley. If To'omua comes back fit, maybe? But who knows.

Carter is gooooone. I don't think we will have much of an understanding of the test team until 2021. Chances are we'll have a new coach, lots of current players going or gone. Look at our end-of-year tour forwards in 2017: Allan Ala'alatoa (19 Tests, Canberra Vikings, 23) Adam Coleman (18...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I would prefer to see a Super comp with the current Australian and New Zealand conferences plus an invitation for Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga to each field a team. Double round robin is achievable with that, just look at the English and French comps. I love the South African tours but I hate that the...

We had fewer yellow cards than NZ at the 2015 RWC, and they still steamrolled. The yellow card recipients for Aus were Genia, Cooper, Kuridrani, and Mumm. Kepu conceded 3 of Australia's 11 penalties in the final; not as impressive a showing as Toby Smith's 5 penalties off the bench, but still...

As it stands, I think all it takes is Slipper or Sio getting injured for JP to get a cap off the bench, and Ruan is just waiting for either AAA or Tupou to be ruled out to get the same.

John I. Dent Cup 2019 - ACT Premier Rugby

I see Queanbeyan's showing last year as a blip, they'll be back and stronger than ever. Easts have all the signs of continuing to perform, they've turned into a classy side under their new coach. Royals depend entirely on the availability of Johnston, Muirhead, and Rolando. They depend...

Fixed. Generally like your selection. I feel for McCaffrey after his incredible form, but it's a world cup year and coaches go with what they know. I like the LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto)-Samu reserves, as both the starting locks are good enough to play 80 and the reserves can cover backrow injury. As it stands...

I'm thrilled that we have a couple of guys in the position who offer something different. Much as a coach may love the stability of being able to call up the next guy and play the same way, we also need to be able to play differently as required, and having those horses for courses is invaluable.

    Brumbies 2019

I don't think Cheika actively dislikes the Brumbies or ignores good players out of spite. I think he, like anyone who has worked with people and gotten to know them, feels more comfortable with players he knows. Half of scouting is reconsiling the visuals of a player's performance with their...

John I. Dent Cup 2019 - ACT Premier Rugby

The gap between teams in Shute Shield and JID is massive, of that there is no doubt. It's tough to compete with a system, infrastructure, administration, finances, etc. that predate the Canberra comp by a few decades. However, JID still produces Super and Test level players, and is reaching a...

Backing you up, Slim, it's impossible to ignore everything he's done around the club and for the rugby community in general. How many other players do you know who have paid out of their own pocket to get a hotel for an international schoolboys squad? Or used their free weekends to travel...

Brilliant to retain Valetini. He's nowhere near his potential and still performing very well. I look forward to many years of seeing him in Brumbies colours.

    Round 5 - Brumbies vs Waratahs - Friday 15 March @ 7:45pm in Canberra

Speight has only played 99 minutes this season, all of them against the Rebels. In that time, he has run less than 36m in six carries. He has passed the ball once. He has attempted twelve tackles and successfully completed five, for a success rate of 42%. His errors have directly lead to four of...
