    Waratahs 2022

I mentioned leadership and the lack there of within the Tahs group last season. Having Hooper back is huge. But adding the likes of Roberts will be almost as valuable to the playing group. There's no substitute for that kind of experience.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

QW Pretty much this. The BBL is growing its audience with it. And that audience is very young.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

That's something I've been keen to see from a NRC type competition for a while. Could even use it to get Wallabies into shape before heading off to Europe in November.

It's certainly has looked like very good turnouts in the few games they've played there.

    Sydney Subbies 2022

Doubtful seeing as contrary to what many wish to believe the Shute Shield never rated all that well. Often sitting around the 10k mark.

    Sydney Subbies 2022

Pretty much this. But good luck on getting them to pull their heads out of their arses in order to achieve that.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Yeah, saw that on the T2 forum earlier. It's a bit of a surprise albeit a pleasant one to see Zim, Kenya and Namibia involved in the CC 1st Div. They had been in line to compete in the SuperSport Challenge later in the year. This will be a solid challenge for each of them. Which is what is...

Literally everyone in the squad with the exception of Hooper.

The counter argument to what you've suggested, which I agree with by the way, is the idea that it's the presence of the grade players in the stands that help drive revenues and that without them they wouldn't be able to turn a profit. Which is frankly a little BS in my opinion. Firstly, if it...

It listed on July 15 2020. Most of these guys signed in late 2019. Not saying they were expressly gifted them. More so they probably had the process of being awarded them made easier. I should also note that the LA Giltinis head office and facility happens to be the old F45 HQ in LA.

Which prior to the pandemic put them in a pretty envious financial position in the region. I don't know how likely there involvement would be but it is clear that those behind League One would be interested if they put their hand up. It might happen but it might not.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

On Korean Rugby. It appears to have grown since I last checked. Several years ago there were only 1500 odd registered players. Now there's a little over 2500. The national competition which has for a long time has only had 4 teams is also looking like growing to 6 with two new teams (there are...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Hyundai Glovis have publicly stated they intend to enter the Japanese system from 2025. Not sure as to which level they'll enter. Whether it'll be the semi-pro corporate league 3rd division or the professional 2nd Div with ambitions to in time compete for promotion to the 1st division.

Gilchrist is pouring a fair bit into the game in both LA and Austin. Paid for a docu-series on Fox Sports based around his Austin franchise and seems to have linked up with WR (World Rugby) to run a kind of 'school of hard knocks' concept for crossovers on the WR (World Rugby) YouTube channel. Among a bunch of other...

Oh, it was contentious among MLR fans. But they aren't the only club that gets creative. Before LA many bemoaned San Diego and its ability to draw talent off a small cap. The cap covers direct payments and can be boosted by $250k from $500k to $750k a season based on if they achieve their...

It costs roughly $250k to set up a gym. That includes the franchise fee. Equipment and working capital requirements. They apparently need 65 members to break even. This was from a break down I found from 2019. So, yeah. worth more than most Super Rugby contracts.

Umm...no. Franchises. A few of the imports suddenly had F45 franchises up and running. It was a topic of discussion early on particularly after Canadian international DTH Van der Merwe who had recently returned from playing in Europe announced he was opening a F45 Gym in Victoria, BC right...
