Lawes superb. In fact he's made a big impact on this game around the park and set piece.

Could replace him with Palu and move Fardy to lock

The Vunipola boys are playing well

Nah, just a penalty. Good decision. Oz caught short out wide and make plenty of metres. Then the perfect bounce. Try

    All-Time Crim 1st XV

Not that I was a fan, but i thought he was good in that quarter final in 2007. It went to poo when Leonard came on....

Regarding comparisons to ABs, one of the better combinations was circa 2003-05 10. Spencer 12. Mauger 13. Umaga We didn't see a lot of it due to changes, retirements etc, but it was a balanced mix of playmaking, ball carrying in both positions. The 10. Carter 12. Nonu 13. Smith post 2009...

And I'm sure the "told you so" brigade will be out in force if that eventuates.....

I don't get why people don't have McMahon as a lineout option when he clearly is. I've thought he's gone alright at the Rebels as an option. He takes more than one a game, certainly more than what Pocock offers in that regard. Combined with the two main options of Simmons and Fardy and the odd...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

I think Skelton needs to be in the side, if anything to draw in defenders. It was very noticeable that England were able to just commit one to the tackle for most of the night and fan out creating less space for the backs to work with. There were opportunities not taken by Australia for sure...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

I find the criticism of the midfield selection a little strange given that when Cheika took over the preferred midfield was 12. To'omua 13. Kurindrani. They played pretty well for him as well. Now due to injuries, RWC and bringing back experience under new rules - To'omua has not been the 12...

And the "quote" fails to take into consideration what England will do. The probability of them reacting and defending the same as last week IMO is highly unlikely

And yet I am hoping he gets selected just to see what your (OTT) reaction will be :-)

    The Wallabies Thread

What England did surprisingly well was a combination of slowing ball but also mixing it up with committing only one or maybe two at the most to the breakdown. Their defensive organisation was very good with plenty of players fanned out limiting the holes and space for the Aussie ball runners...

I don't think Hooper should be dropped. What message does that send to a guy who has played his backside off in the first two tests and on an individual basis I would say has easily been in the top 3 for the team. Sure if he was not doing much it might be warranted.

New Zealand v Wales, 3rd Test

Given the earlier comments about McKenzie having some work ons, I would be very surprised if he is elevated ahead of Sopoaga if one of Cruden or Barrett are unavailable. In fact I'm thinking it could be a 6-2 bench split. I think Dixon will be in the squad somewhere.

Agree TSR. I wouldn't be making too many changes. I know the series is now lost but does anyone else think that there is more pressure on the Wallabies this weekend? Facing a 3-0 whitewash on home soil is massive in terms of history and also the general confidence for the squad. If there is...

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Yeah I recall at least two. But they were poorly executed. Don't tell Gnostic :-)

Wallabies looked quite clueless out there for large parts of the game. Both the forwards and backs weren't on song or on the same page. So who's got McMahon's running stats. Did he double Pocock's output from last week :-)

Good interview by Izzy. Marto baiting him.

Yeah, the OZ attack was screaming for someone to straighten in the midfield to draw in defenders and then unleash. Lots of one out stuff tonight.
