Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

Hooper has been a good player and still is good but his performance on Saturday night was very poor. I thought he lacked any real impact on the game.

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

I would tweak it a little and just change the 4 that were in last weeks 23. 6. Fardy 7. Pocock 8. McCalman Hooper on the bench. This of course will require Cheika to admit that the Hooper and Pocock starting combo can't beat the ABs and will beg the question on why he's persisted with it so...

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

Don't disagree with you there BH. I guess the decision they have is whether they give McCalman another shot to redeem himself or go back to someone that has done the job prior but hasn't really shown anything to say he has improved from his last outing.

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

From my armchair I saw a player who was lacking the same physicality and impact at the collision that I had seen previously. More walking than usual. Perhaps that was due to fitness, but that certainly impacted on his "mongrel" at the breakdown and the level of his decision making. I can't...

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

So when's the press conference? A proud rugby nation like Australia isn't just going to drop their captain without an announcement and justifying it publicly. It would create more of a storm which they quite frankly don't need right now. He's out of form and has been having issues with...

Bledisloe 1 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, 8:05pm

Yeah that was the biggest difference in the test match for me, how the ABs hit the tackle with real force. Read was back to his psycho best. Kaino in beast mode. Crockett was hard as nails and then the two locks just worked tirelessly which had a huge effect in defence and attack. Not great...

Bledisloe 1 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, 8:05pm

To be fair to Cruden, the whole 2nd half bar about 4-5 minutes was scrappy on a number of fronts. That chip ahead by Cruden to Bus was all class.

Bledisloe 1 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, 8:05pm

The first half the tempo in attack and defensively was right where the ABs like it I think. They looked sharp off the line and their support play was very good. The second half was a bit of a mishmash.

Bledisloe 1 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, 8:05pm

Good ol' Eales, with his psychological insight on how to address the "issues". Some home truths to come from the upcoming video sessions I think. Passive in defence, lack of organisation, passing behind the man, lack of support. From a tactical perspective I thought the Wallabies were slow...

Bledisloe 1 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, 8:05pm

Cruden played 10, Fekitoa played 12 and Ben Smith was at 13. Dagg moved to the wing and Barrett to fullback.

Bledisloe 1 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, 8:05pm

I'm expecting a rusty performance from both sides with only a few highlights that will largely determine the result. My guess is that players from both sides have been staying up to all hours watching the Olympics and drinking marshmallow laden hot chocolates to keep them awake...

    Brumbies 2016

He genuinely is. Met him a few times whilst living in Canberra and he's a down to earth unpretentious fella. Likes to have a laugh, so I imagine his positive spirit will come through during this tough time. All the best Christian.

    The Rugby Championship 2016

Agree Moore needs to either tone it down or just bite his tongue. But in terms of going into a test match, strategies on how to play the breakdown and scrums should be worked out so if a ref has a perceived tendency you have a Plan B.

    The Rugby Championship 2016

Is your confidence in the coaches, analysts and players within the Wallabies camp so low that you think they can't come up with strategies to manage the ref? That has nothing to do with the refs assigned the games then, because they all have their own way of seeing things, but everything to do...

Just on Gardiner, I heard one of the Brumbies coaches has been fined for sending him an abusive email?

I guess there was no guarantee when the Tahs signed Folau that he would be a success given he had failed at the previous code he played and was also shopping around. I was a fan of Hayne the league player and thought he did some amazing stuff on the field mixed with being a Mr Reliable as...

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

Not sure I agree with that at the top level of rugby that lots of tries are awarded without seeing grounding. Most of the refs get themselves in very good positions on maul drives to see the grounding. Also there is no benefit of the doubt in rugby.
