    Brumbies v Waratahs Rnd 5 2014

It could/should have been a penalty, all match officials are protected by 10.4(m). As a ref you generally save dissent penalties for decisions you are right about though!

    Scrum TMO required?

Where's the evidence that x-props can do a better job than the SANZAR referee panel? I've seen plenty of x props referee and only a small few of them are able to translate their playing experience into a marginal advantage in the area of scrum officiating. You could have a TMO panel for...

Rebels vs Crusaders, Rnd 4, 14 March 2014 @ AAMI

Looks at least half full? (is that good for them?) Sorry not paying much attention. Btw, did they just give a penalty for offside off a kick? Should have been a scrum from there...

Rebels vs Crusaders, Rnd 4, 14 March 2014 @ AAMI

Yeah nice turnout. Force also get their biggest crowds when kiwi's are in town. Pretty sure all the bros have a complete set of NZ super15 jerseys and just rock up supporting whoever is playing the force.

Highlanders Vs Western Force - Rnd 5 2014

    I'll be taking my chainsaw.

    Brumbies v Waratahs Rnd 5 2014

We should have fines system. Whereby whenever anyone resorts to using any of the top 10 GAGR sayings (ie: Quade can't defend) they dob themselves in and earn a strike. At the end of the season everyone total's their strikes and donates the equivalent of 1 strike = $1 to GAGR (or maybe some...

Highlanders Vs Western Force - Rnd 5 2014

Nah you're wrong this is just the start of our 2 week NZ tour. Next week is effectively an away game, Perth is Waikato 2.0.

    Force Vs Rebels - Rd4 2014

It's something the sideline commentator should pick up that's for sure. I certainly noticed Sias kicking an extra 20m with support of the wind. Saying that, it's also the advantage of seeing the games live! Much more interesting. It's why the Force will always have support in Perth, deep down...

    Force Vs Rebels - Rd4 2014

Force won the toss and kicked with the sea-breeze. That's why the first half was played almost entirely inside the Rebels 22. The Rebels realized they needed to put the same pressure on the Force if they had any chance of coming back, which required a dominant kicking game. What resulted was...

    Go the force.

    Reds vs Cheetahs, Rnd 4.

Be honest, did you expect otherwise? :D

    Hurricanes v. Brumbies R4 2014

For an explanation of this decision. What needs to be certain is that the player intentionally offended. Once you have that ticked off the law just requires a try to have "probably" been scored. I don't like using video to rule on things like this. In real time I wasn't thinking PT, but on...

Waratahs vs Force - Super Rugby R2 Sunday 23 February 2014

This will be an awesome game. Regardless of the potential for boring tactics, it will just be exciting to see what the halves in particular can do with such good players around them. Can't wait for the first high ball, Folau vs The Badger. I know who my money's on.

23 New Western Force Jersey Sponsors in 2014

The Force say, "while there has been significant interest in the initiative, there are a number of jerseys still available for businesses wishing to be involved.". The fact they resorted to releasing this statement suggests they might be struggling a little bit though. Would there be 500...

    BRU vs WAR - Super Rugby - Round 5 - 15th March 2014

Personally I think Hooper played better than Pocock.

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

After experiancing the Rome underground train network I may have uncovered the secret behind Italy's success in the scrum. In peak hour there is essentially a maul at every stop in order to cram everyone into the carriage. Failure is not an option for the locals, get in or get out of the way.

    Wales v Wallabies, Cardiff, Nov 30 2013

What the ARU should consider is taking the profits made from the 2nd Bledisloe test, taking it to the casino and betting it all on black in one roulette spin. If they win, we can ditch the third Bledisloe game. If they lose, we will have to play the Bledisloe game to win our money back. By...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Liam Gill will get super 15 player of the season in 2014 and take the #7 jersey. Pocock will move to #8 and Hooper can play #6.

    Scotland v Australia, Murrayfield, 5am 24 Nov 2013

I haven't been watching rugby as closely as usual in the last few months. But saying that I always made time for the Reds. What exactly has CFS done that justifies a start in the test #13 jersey? He's good for his age, but it's those young players that should be playing themselves into the...

    Beach Rugby

They ran a comp here over the weekend. It was an interesting/novelty concept and worked well. Essentially a 7s tournament on the beach but heavily modified. I imagine it will be back next year.
