    Wallabies 2024

I have no issue with you or several others having a negative attitude towards Wright or any other player for that matter but it irks me when a poster expresses an opinion that looks for all the world as something held by officials who actually matter. Your posts are often couched in those terms.

    Aussie Player Exodus

We're getting a bit off topic now, but the independents around at the time were a pretty wacky lot, certainly none of the calibre of Pocock.

    Plus Fainga'as x 3.

    Aussie Player Exodus

Not so safe as it was perhaps only a few years ago. Not that it will move markedly to the conservative side, but independents are making inroads and Labor is pretty much going backwards at Territory level. Just needs Bam Bam to get some supporters to stand locally and it will throw a big scare...

Probably already being lined up for compulsory transfer to the Brumbies to replace wingers thought to be leaving post 2024.

    Wallabies 2024

IIRC Maddocks favoured the fullback spot but was being selected in the Wallabies as a winger. I think he moved to NSW for the opportunity to play more at fullback. Anyway, that's how I recall it.

I don’t see the efficacy of the Tahs operations being instrumental in the recruitment or success of the Brumbies at all.

I don't see it at all that the dam has broken with NSW signing on to centralisation. Even RA has conceded that the model could be different for one or some of the teams, and the fact NSW has fallen over doesn't mean the flood gates will open in all franchises. There is clearly an opportunity for...

    U16/U19 Competition 2023

It looks like the squad may be in some sort of priority order with, for example, the whole Waratahs front row being first three forwards nominated follwed by the two Brumbies locks, and then Hooper also falls into the spot he mostly played at 7. In the backs, similarly, starts with three of the...

    Brumbies 2024

That's a very stable roster for 2024. Only three new faces as far as I can see, Anderson, Shaw and Goddard, replacing Samu, Nic White, CFS, Tom Ross, Nathan Carroll and Moggy. Rhys van Nek and Blake Schoupp both come into the main squad, but were in and out of the side at various times this year.

    U16/U19 Competition 2023

I simply do not know how the Tahs performance in the U192 final can be labeled "lucklustre" (sic). I was at the match, and it was a quality game by both sides in both attack and defence. The Tahs hammered away at the tryline for most of the second half, but only committed defence by the Brumbies...

    Wallabies 2024

Clean ball is probably not so much of a concern if each of Bell, Tupou and Skelton are fit and available. Incidentally, I am becoming less and less convinced that fitness is the problem a lot of posters here and a few recent Wallaby coaches have made it out to be. Specifically, the Brumbies...

Wales v Barbarians Millennium Stadium, Cardiff

Quite a lot to look forward to Yoda. I think both Donaldson and Edmed will fall behind the others, including a couple missing from your list. Harrison will be the 10 at the Tahs if he stays fit, imo. Carter Gordon, I hope, will re-emerge as the best of the lot. Noah will hopefully come back a...

Wales v Barbarians Millennium Stadium, Cardiff

Depends on the colour of the glasses, Yoda. I thought Len Ikitau looked like he was just running himself back into fitness and form rather than being pedestrian. Perese was his usual self but made plenty of mistakes with dropped ball and some poor passes. Overall, the Welsh centres outplayed our...

Injury is a real downer, isn't it. But at THP we are lucky to have Taniela Tupou back from injury to take Tupoa's place if needed. When someone expresses an opinion that Sam Talakai is a better prop or prospect than Allan Ala'alatoa, then it's close to time to ignore that poster.

Let's all allow Rodda to have a full Super season without major injury before we start talking about him as a Wallaby again.

I would rather White than Cheika. Doesn't mean one is better than the other - just our preferences. I will say, however, that White has shown he can coach a World Cup win ning team, and while at the Brumbies he was able to set a game plan that best suited the players he had, rather than relying...
