Interesting comment from Hamish in saying he hasn’t been taking a salary from RA. I guess that does show he’s passionate about what he’s doing. Still doesn’t mean he’s the right man.

Both sides of the ditch need to change this thinkings. The French sides (although have foreign quotas) still are filled with foreign players and influence and they are kicking our ass. Irish teams have foreign players in them and a lot of foreign coaches, although they use some of these quotas...

I personally don’t think the NRC is the solution either. It’s half baked and short term. I want full time pros against full time pros. Programs where the opposition as done hours or video work understanding xyz steps off his right, or more importantly will square his shoulders when deciding to...

I don’t think the national coach would make a difference. We need a change in style way before our players get together for the national squad. What Ireland have done is getting many of the systems playing the same style from school boys to national team.

I’m firmly in the belief of the current 5 teams playing NZ and Drua. But want more rugby beyond this, either a longer Super Rugby season (which won’t happen) or we playing a SRAU at the end of it to get more pro games in to our guys. I remember a podcast from maybe 2 years ago from the English guy...

I think Thorn could be a great wallabies forwards coach, but he wouldn’t work with Eddie.

Nobody has mentioned it yet, but if the Italians beat NZ then Super Rugby is in the shit. One of the issues (and it’s clearly evident on these threads) one party the pro club has thought the expansionist group has had their way for too long, while the expansionist party has thought the pro club group...

It’s the thought process that’s hampered Aus rugby, constantly fighting what what happened in the good old days versus what happens in 2023 in a rugby world with loads of cash and ultra professionalism

I don’t even think it’s the WA and Vic kids, it’s the QLD and NSW ones as well. We saw during Covid when the contractual deals came through several jump ship from the Reds because they weighed it up. Kellaway isn’t going to head back to the Tahs and play back up, and if he’s offered the starting...

But the problem is in 2023 guys have opportunities to be the first choice guy at an overseas club earning more money, than playing back up. Unlike 10-15yrs ago where the next best option couldn’t go anywhere and you have exceptional depth, you aren’t going to get a good player be happy to sit...

I don’t think 2 teams is solving this issue. That just leads to better trainers, not better players. We just lost comfortably to a team made up of players from more professional teams than we had. That have spent less time together as a wider squad and have made similar decisions in cutting some...

More games also means more Rugby IQ. I get there is welfare issues and over playing players but currently we are short of where that threshold is

I think locks are a massive issue. They need to be the most intimidating person on the park and they aren’t close to that. We need guys that win every contact they have, not saying dominate contact but they need to win it or at worst get parity. I like Frost’s potential but there is a whiff of...

Some players are going to struggle to come back from this. I think Arnold might of played his last test Tate will be around the squad, but he isn’t remotely close to the answer. Fundamentals are subpar for a 9, there is school boys with better passing and kicking skills it’s embarrassing...

    RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

First of all lol to those that said they would take our tight 5 over theirs. There was a few that laughed when I said the Welsh team was almost man for man better But just highlighting Kellaway’s comments on here. It’s so true. Bashed and beaten at rugby. For far too long we have had this...

Nobody anywhere has said seriously get rid of a team from QLD or NSW. What a joke comment. Happy to be corrected where I mentioned this

Who gives a crap. A large portion of the crusaders isn’t from Canterbury, nobody from the Denver Nuggets is from Denver, is there anyone from Manchester in Man City. We need to get over this pettiness. It’s silly thinking that’s holding us back, it’s 2023 and the sporting environment is...

Let’s be honest here, there has been cracks in the rugby foundations for 15-20yrs. I’d argue the Force getting dumped was the first sign of a part of the wall breaking away and not just cracking. It was an absolute disaster that exasperated the issues further, then newscorp attacks, etc...

I wouldn’t read into it. He’s spent most his life in Brisbane and the most popular team in the city makes the grand final. No surprises to see people jump on the bandwagon and show support. Most people aren’t as parochial about things as we are. Funny how people can come up in discussion that...
