    Wallabies 2023

Despite what some think, IMHO there is a big gap from Paisami to the next in line at 12. Kerevi is another big step up again. Surely they must have a look at Foley if Noah is available or not. If not now then when? I think Foley may surprise a few people. His game is well rounded, he looks to be...

Wallabies v Springboks II, Allianz Stadium 7:35pm 03/09/22

We have matched up pretty well with the Boks recently. Last night they played the perfect game to roll the Wallabies. We never got into the game or fired a shot. Kudos to them.

We need either Hooper or McReight at 7 for their speed.

They surely have to have a look at Foley over the next two games to see if he is a serious option for next year. If Noah doesn’t recover they may have little choice. Either way I reckon we will see Foley in some capacity in the first Bled.

TBF he looks pretty bloody good too

ValETini is going from strength to strength. I’m not sure Holloway is the bloke to be at 6. I reckon Leota will get another run against the ABs. Holloway could be handy off the bench covering 4/5/6.

If thats the best we have then we are in trouble, or at least only going one way. Bell certainly would help and TT is our best prop when he is firing. We need to get him back to that. Both Arnold and Holloway have not locked down their respective spots. I’d like to see Swain start with Philip...

I thought Arnold and Holloway were ineffective. Swain had more influence when he came in. We got seriously touched up at the coal face. Nick White looked rattled, presumably by the attention he received. Tom Wright once again took some poor options deep in our half. I would like to see Kellaway...

I imagine he is worth a spot on a 5-3 bench to take a look at

He certainly does not look to be in good nick, although he must be getting through the training and DR says he has never seen him better?

Wallabies v Springboks II, Allianz Stadium 7:35pm 03/09/22

Strange game for us. Our set piece was better than the previous week but we got done in the collisions and at the breakdown. At half time I still felt reasonably confident that we could come home well but losing Paisami and then Noah was too much to overcome. Losing TT before kickoff was also a...

I’m sure that pitch drains very quickly. Looks like a bit of a break in the weather around game time.

Who takes the goal kicks for the Boks? Willemse?

Langi Gleeson is probably in a similar mould as McMahon and just at the beginning of his career.

If he not just ‘hanging out’ then he needs to impart some magic on our scrum for this weekend.

Hoops of course comes back in but McReight is making a case for himself. He gives the back row good balance. 6 is really still the issue. I reckon we would kill for a Fardy right now. Maybe Frost is an option long term?

Hoops will be back, hopefully for the EOYT. If not then maybe to start Super Rugby next year.
