So, who here thinks Deans is the coach we need?

In our passion to see the Wallabies win, and our absolute loathing of losses like, that Aussie A 'practice run' last year against those really big pacific islanders and that other practice run we had somewhere near Newcastle, it is pretty easy for us fire up. Easier too if you see players...

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

I'd be surprised too, but 3 7s does give that option. And two fetchers would counter the kiwi tactic of running straight at Pocock.

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

I'm intrigued with three fetchers in the squad, two expert fetchers could really turn the tide. Add Gills versatility as a loosie, vs Hoopers ball carrying ability and potential as a link man. Struggling to see Dennis getting no time while Gill/Hooper (Hooper/Gill) play across from Pocock...

2012 Rugby Championship Game 1 Australia vs New Zealand - 18 August

Hey, ease up there big fella, we're on the same side.

2012 Rugby Championship Game 1 Australia vs New Zealand - 18 August

No Horwill, No McCabe, no Palu, No JOC (James O'Connor). Beale is coming back from injury, Horne and Barnes had appalling Super Rugby seasons, TN still seems to have the odd dodgy throw in, Cooper is still rebuilding form after a poor RWC. Gee theres a lot of reasons to be down. Anyone would think we hadn't just...

    Waratahs 2013

Hey, don't drag the Rebels into this WJ, they are doing just fine at year 2 in their time, thank you. We might let the occasional try in or so, you know one or two, but we're getting there!

Who would you bring into the Wallabies?

Any two of Bismarck du Plessis, Jannis du Plessis, Jaques Fourie, Tendai Mtawariwa, Eben Etzebet, Juandre Kruger.

    Waratahs 2013

If this thread is any sign, Warratahs fans will be arguing about what wallpaper should be in the club HQ come February. Back on topic, I am starting to buy into the idea that with current number of super rugby and test matches played, too many test players in a super team kills the team.

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

Sully, surely there is zero doubt he can play, he proved that in the limited time he has had to date, the questions are what position and will he make the transition through super rugby to test level. I expect many aren't wondering if he will get to test level but when. But yes, if your point...

All Blacks - Rugby Championship 2012

In terms of yardage, Vito is the clear winner over the Super Rugby comp. Read has struggled all year. Work rate wise it is hard to pick between them other than to say Read has had a poor comp stats wise. Messam has the highest tackle rates and the highest tackle accuracy. But the main difference for...

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

I'd like to see CFS play centre/inside centre.

All Blacks - Rugby Championship 2012

3 locks, 6 loosies is odd. Clarke hard done by, but to be fair he'd not get into the 22 I'd think short of injury. Not sure which of Vito and Thompson, but one or both are short of Messam for me, Vito would improve radically with a bit of mongrel. Agree on Ben though I'd query Crockett...

    Cooper going into the ring?

Not as sad as I'll be though Sully if Quade fails to be the great player he can be due to fluffing around.

All Blacks - Rugby Championship 2012

I'll be disappointed if Hansen doesn't pick the poncing fairy. Messam on the other hand, could Hansen really be that silly? Ali Williams, meh, cheap player who is nowhere near the skill level he once was. A Botha lite. Yes, yes Kiwis, I know Simmons is cheap too, I am not fussed on him either.

what's with calling the ABs the darkness? The buggers will start thinking we respuct them. We need a poll for a better name!

    Rebels 2013

At the risk of sounding un-Victorian, Carlton Draft is awful. Awful. Try Mountain Goat Steam Ale. Microbrewed Victorian goodness.

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

Tocc: Averaged 71 metres per 80 minutes. He never strung out a full game; averaged around 56 mins per game. Damn nice 56 minutes though... 728 minutes total, 95 tackles made, 14 tackles missed, 104 ruck mauls, 129 runs, 641 metres, 19 offloads. 13 games.

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

Dropping Sharp and Palu would certainly be brave. Palu has had a big year that's gone largely unnoticed. He's averaged 71m per game with one of the highest offload rates in the comp. His workrate has been immense. As for Sharp, I can see him being asked to burn for 60 only, but anything...

    Waratahs 2013

I'm no fan of players steering the boat as it were but if the wheels fall off it's pretty obvious you need to engage the key stakeholders and try to flush out issues.

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

JOC (James O'Connor) has played 577 mins, and still managed to be one of the best backs in the game for metres per game at 75.3m per game, pretty tidy for a guy who played centre/five eighth. I'd be playing him, frankly we can't afford not to.
