I was kind of hoping that Australia hasn't pissed its luck away in a swimming pool and was saving it for the Bledisloe.

Don't pin your hopes on it. I reckon there are a couple of Aussie gold medals coming up very soon. Besides, I think the wallabies are in arrears for some bad luck after those Welsh tests. ;)

The Olympians are just building Australia's desire for silver. What is the Bledisloe made of?

Sick of the pessimists, we are ranked in the top 3 for a reason.

We might be ranked in the top 3 but our form coming in has been poor, we cannot put up our best players in important positions and there appears to have been no improvement in deficiencies highlighted in our coaching at the WC. Pessimism can also be realism.

With respect to the Wallabies wins against Wales - we were lucky to win all 3 and in particular the last 2 - having said that we won.

Some fine tuning of the team and it will be a very competitive one. If the forwards can match the AB's up front we have a back line that can put plenty of points on the scoreboard.

Blacks to choke !!!!!!! Aussie by 8

The way I see it, our chances lie in having a home game to start the series.

With home ground advantage I think it will be a very close game and if we play well we can get up. If we win that first game, who knows what will happen.

We are clearly missing some important players but that is always the way. When was the last time we had everyone available?

We have more depth than we've had in recent years and we need to make the most of it. Fringe players will be keen to assert themselves and show that they are worthy replacements for their injured teammates.

you've got way more depth than you did 12-24 months ago, but you've also got some key injuries/underdone players in JOC (James O'Connor), Beale, Quade, Horwill, Drew, and a fair few front rowers.
i'll be tough. i think you're potentially weakest at 8, 6, 13 and 14.

If you have higgers at 8, 6 is a bit weak and vice versa. 13 is weak no matter who goes there really (unless AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) slots in) and with Tomane, JOC (James O'Connor) and Drew injured or underdone, you've just got AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) (potentially) at 14 and not much after that.

ABs will probably pick some incumbents who aren't in their best form (DC and Dagg spring to mind) Nonu and SBW are untested, but i'm fairly confident they will be superb. I think it will actually be a bit closer, but that entirely depends on the aussie centres. I don't think the ability is there to pick an all star pairing, but deans can certainly pick a combo that isn't wretched. I would be trying to find an alternate 13 from horne - be it AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) or keeping Inman and Cummins around to get them exposed (at least to more training).

Beale at 13 would make me pretty happy.

Definitely think Cummins deserved a spot somewhere, his physicality has been great this year! Plus I find his post match interviews hilarious, he is so relaxed. He reminds me of Sid off Ice Age.

The AB's also have their share of injuries/players bit off the pace. If memory serves Injuries: Kaino, Williams, Smith

When did Cory Jane last play?

They have 3 locks as well, and looks like they'll use Reid & Thompson as an option at lineout if articles are to be belived. SBW contract may be cancelled if he does play for the AB's, they are still trying to sort that out.

Then on the Bok side they also have their fair share of injuries etc, Heineken Meyer mentioned bringing back Bakkies from France.

I like our chances for this game, just wish it was this weekend..

This will be our best chance, but we have problems in the tight five and outside centre for mine. *If* we get clean ball from the set piece *and* we can get someone in the midfield to pass, then I think we're a chance.

My understanding is that he might be touring with the team anyway.

I don't know why, but can only assume that it would be for injury cover to a wing, and that Robbie doesn't believe Mitchell is quite up to it yet.

McCabe out......we might get a decent 12 and some attacking options in midfield

It's about time the much hyped Pocock stepped out from being Mccaws biatch. The wallaby backrow has been belted black and blue for the last 10 years by the Darkness. I'm sick of hearing how good our backrow is when they come a very distant second in every Bledisloe test.

Hooper waiting in the wings
