    Western Force 2021

Sure And you break that by having teams elsewhere. You do t just leave it as Qld and NSW because then there are only two teams to pick from and our talent base is tiny. WA now has 4 Wallabies that have come through the WA system when the Force was there. The local comp has improved in quality...

    Western Force 2021

I find this an incredibly naive position to take. 1/ how many people, if told they were getting a 60% pay cut while offered more elsewhere, would stay at their current employer. 2/ what sort of loyalty do super clubs offer? The answer is nil. If he was out of form or injured for an extended...

    Rebels 2019

To be fair, Ainsley, Ruru and Rangi came from elsewhere to further their rugby career, but came through the ranks in Perth first. They are as die in the wool Perth as Sefa is Melbourne.

    Rebels 2019

A few issues there though. I doubt that your employees had fans attached to them. Equally, you were all a part of the same organisation. On top of that, there is still anger at the ARU for cutting the Force. The team was looking bright and suddenly the ARU destroyed the organisation. Sure, they...

Just something I read on facebook this morning. Looking to see how true it is

    The Wallabies Thread

What is with the threats from the Premiership clubs that To'omua and TPN will need to head home during the rest weeks to play club rugby? Surely the ARU just say international window and tell the Premiership to get lost?

    The Wallabies Thread

Id have liked to have seen RHP get some game time to see how he went at the next level. Valetini could be good but we need to see how he adapts to super rugby before getting too excited. Although Dempsey seems to be in pole position to get the 6 gig.

Also, the Force has the following players, in the current squad, who represented the Wallabies from the Force: Faulkner Cowen Hodgson McCalman Rona Hardwick DHP In addition, Meakes and Ainsley made the squad but did not play this year, and Lance made the Bench but did not play last year.

Id challenge that point about the U20s. Clay Uys was a late call up to the U20s and played a number of games. He is a local product. Nick Jooste was there too, and is a local WA product who moved to Canberra. So there are 2 local WA U20s and 2 local Vic U20s in the squad.

    Force 2018

If the Force win, will the ARU look to elevate to the next level, or is that it? Ditto if the ARU win. Ie: will we see an end to this in the next few weeks?

    Force 2018

Id argue that the ARU learned some lessons from bringing in the Force, that they applied to the Rebels. When the Force came in, the other three franchises worked quickly to re-sign their players meaning that there were not many super quality players available to the Force. I remember reading...

    Force 2018

F I agree that the Reds and the Tahs probably wouldnt have come out on the bottom, and that it would have been one of the Force, Rebels or Brumbies. My point with that though is that an open assessment by a third party with clearly defined parameters for the assessment, completed by a third...

    Force 2018

Its far more complex than that. The Force IP was purchased this time last year, effectively putting the team in the hands of the ARU. The Brumbies, Tahs and Reds were never considered for culling, it was only the Rebels and the Force - why? The Rebels were to Cox by the ARU in 2015 - why? When...

    Force 2018

He is only mid 30s. He might think getting a few more development years might serve his development better. Part of his success as head coach in Perth was down to the support coaching staff he had, who were also excellent.

    Rebels 2018

I tend to think the Rebels would have been better served picking up Ruru. The guy has a crisp pass and great run. He is strong too so can get through defenders. He is almost a playmaker in his ability and would have given support and extra time for a less experienced flyhalf like a Debra, which...

Should point out that rumour comes from an Irishman on another forum. No idea what his credentials are.

Rumours Wessels is going to be announced as Munster's defence coach.

    Force 2018

Hope so! Lets get this court case dragged out then win the whole bloody thing next year to really stick it up the ARU.

    Force 2018

That is what I was thinking, that we havent been kicked out until the court says we have. But then we may not be able to play while the court process is underway so we might be kicked out by default? This is a rugby forum, surely every second man is a lawyer, what is the go people!
