    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Whoever posted that question must be very smart and good looking. The answer was basically WR (World Rugby) pay the SVNS teams travelling expenses, and that's pretty much it. There doesn't even seem to be any money for the players/unions out of hosting an event, no sponsorship and no TV money So is all of...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I must admit I don't understand the economics of the SVNS series at all. Is the whole pro level of the game in Australia funded by the various Olympic grants? What about the rest of the world? There doesn't seem to be any other way it's funded?

    Wallabies 2024

Yep. Clubs only need to make the players available in Australia 5 days before the match. For the Southern release window, it can only apply for 6 out of the 8 weeks, so if Skelton (for example) was selected, his club could require him to return to France for the off-weeks in between the test...

    Shute Shield 2024

Getty images is one source for things like this. They go back a fair way https://www.gettyimages.fi/detail/uutiskuva/easts-players-celebrate-their-win-after-the-shute-shield-uutiskuva/2083830?adppopup=true

    Wallabies 2024

It would have either been the game where we got flogged by South Africa, or the one where we were flogged by New Zealand

    Wallabies 2024

Our lineout also recently disintegrated with Frost, Arnold, Leota, Hooper and Valetini on the field. But there's that good coach caveat. If Skelton is who we need to stop opposition driving mauls off lineouts, then you do whatever it takes to pick him

    Wallabies 2024

Is this just reflecting that the Wallaby coaches haven't worked out a way to utilise him?

    Wallabies 2024

The RA, sorry Rugby Sevens delegates and officials, people needed to sign off on the squad, probably need to finish their Parisian junket before we get an announcement

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I don't think sevens even garners much interest amongst rusted-on rugby fans. It really is a niche sport

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I think this is theoretically true, but runs into the reality that the gold medal matches are going to be in the middle of the night, and for the men especially, will be on before anyone really sees that the games have started. How many people remember the hokeyroos were in a penalty shoot-out...

I hope he takes detailed notes during the "how to charge the ball down" section of the coaching intervention. I bet that part will be extensive and full of useful and relevant information
