    * Brett Robinson considering whether it's his turn to stick his neck up to be chopped down by the rugby establishment.

I don't really understand why Schmidt has had so little time with this team? He was appointed in January, and started on 1 March. Why were their reports that he had met some players for the first time in July? It makes no sense.

Couldn't really have come at a worse time for Wright, presumably as he was trying to lock in a Wallaby top-up before re-signing with the Reds. We start getting into some interesting ethical questions in these situations, where players are injured just before finishing up one contract and might...

From Doran today. Does not sound good. Have heard reports of nerve damage in that shoulder.

I think the reality is a lot of our players don't have a junior club. Straight from league into a school side

And then Lancaster has to stop his run to get under the ball as it takes it's right angle turn. Very difficult spot to be in for him. I'm a bit more sympathetic than I was an hour ago

Very strong westerly winds outside the stadium (which should be a crosswind). Who knows and swirling around inside as it's all pretty protected in there

Saw an interesting comment somewhere - someone sitting behind the Georgian in-goal said that the ball came off the side of the Georgian kicker's boot and initially looked like it was going way out. Unfortunately, there was a gale blowing in Sydney, and the ball swung back in late and then took...

I don't think people will be prepared to live with it. That's why we are where we are. It's not just missing stuff either, they will need to make more decisions based on less info. This could result in more yellow/red cards and stoppages, as they won't be inclined to play on and let the TMO...

The biggest reason why Australian rugby is where it is?

They did this initially didn't they? It was leading to those ludicrous situations where everybody in the stadlium can see the ref missed a call, because of multiple replays, but they can't fix the error

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

The simplest explanation is Lancaster didn't know he needed to put 110% in, and was completely surprised when the Georgian appeared on front of him. Likewise Wright - he wasn't sprinting at full pace because that would put him out of position, running well past the breakdown when Lancaster...

Probably just a mixture of luck (can't play advantage if you recover a knock-on), the law makers trying to avoid them, both teams choosing other restarts, and modern strategists avoiding random scrum penalties.

Speaking of scrums, between the 4th minute and 81st minute of yesterday's game, there were two scrums. One each. 4 scrums in total over the game. The Georgian props of years past would be in despair at the state of the modern game.

Georgia TV rating on nine, 953k reach and 329k average. Pretty good for a Sat arvo timeslots against a pretty unknown team
