Pone starting though, so question marks on how he will go in the scrum.

Not loving the backrow. For me it lacks a bit of punch. Would prefer to see how Leota goes at 6. Hopefully Hooper can bring some more psychicality this time round.

I'd love to see Lonergan come into the 9 spot and take over kicking duties. It would be good to take that pressure off Gordon who is already struggling with his kicking. Tate off the bench seems such a no-brainer too with his added tempo and running game. Plus, it's surely time to say goodbye...

    Bledisloe 2 2023 @ Dunedin 12:35PM Sat 5 Aug

In Super Rugby, especially prior to his injury he was a very good ball runner with superb body height into contact. The game he got injured he was probably the Brumbies best ball-runner and this is a team with Valetini, Frost and Samu in it. So there's huge potential there. But I actually...

    Brumbies 2023

This is not always the case though. I hope you are correct but my feeling is that there are no signs of this. All the other areas of his game have increased but the decision-making/errors don't seem to be trending the same way. I would still take Banks over him any day of the week and on...

I like Wrights playmaking abilities at the back too, he's a solid distributor with good vision. But man, his decision-making still lets him down, he's takes the risky option far too often, his choice to run on his own from the back often puts the team under pressure when it doesn't come off.

    Brumbies 2023

Long-term will be interesting to see what happens at 12 here at the Brumbies. If he can form a solid combination with Ikitau, would be an advantage come wallabies selection.

    Brumbies 2023

Agreed. Ikitau is a rock at both the wallabies and Brumbies. He is basically the Australian version of Conrad Smith in that he is a critical clog in the backline which is often under-looked. Although I do love the potential of Petaia at 13 or Perese, but Petaia lacks experience at 13 and...

I like him. Yeah he's no Simone but he's been solid. Hardly put a foot wrong. Simone was superb his final year, but before that was probably mostly only solid with a few good games.

    Waratahs 2023

Coleman was hyped up so much but that has now faded quickly.

Gleeson is a big unit, there is no way I'm buying into the notion he is too small for Test rugby at 8.

    Fucken hope so.

    Wallabies 2023

I like him at 6 but I also don't mind keeping him at lock. For example who are the rock shifters in the row you are talking about? I think we have better options at 6 like Valetini, Leota, Swinton compared to Phillip, Arnold, Swain, Rodda, Holloway (he can play both). I don't really care where...

I think Sio is more than a gap-filler. I put him above Slipper or at least equal too. He left Aus in great form although mostly getting game-time from the bench as Slipper was fill-in Captain.

    Super Rugby 2023 Rd 1 - Reds v Hurricanes

Really surprising fitness is an issue with a Thorne coached side. I am really doubting his coaching ability each year.

Super Rugby Rd 1: Waratahs vs Brumbies Friday, 24th February

For his first game at the back I thought he did well. Although I am still not a huge fan, he just doesn't seem to be elusive enough or have a great running game to be anything more then a solid super XV fullback.

    Wallabies 2023

Tom Wright looked real sharp at fullback. Could be a bit of a Red Herring as he tends to excel at super rugby level and then crack under pressure at Test level. Will be interesting to see what happens there. Would love to know how Eddie views him.
