100% agree. I don't agree there is a need to have an Australian coach. Just pick the best coach for the role. Maybe if there were two candidates with similar experience and success, then the Australian one should be preferred. But with the limited coaching pool that is rarely, if ever, the case.

Well it's just McKellar isn't it? As Laurie is back at the Brumbies anyway. The Brumbies will be fine with Larkham/Laurie. McKellar will be a loss but he could also gain some overseas experience. I would say the best thing for McKellar would be to stay 1-2 years under Eddie then head off...

I do agree Ewen deserved another shot, I also think he showed the most promise as wallabies coach. But looking at Eddie's recent coaching, I would say I disagree about England, I think he has left England better then he found it. Japan is certainly a level or two above since Eddie's tenure...

Unless you count Hooper as a lock which I think was where he played this year.

I love that idea RA can move players. I would prefer one of the Brumbies locks to move to another franchise to get more game time. The Tahs have too many 6/8's. Would love one at another club. I doubt Tupou meets the criteria for a stacked position.

If Razor goes to NZ in 2024 which he likely will do. Maybe that will be a blessing in disguise for the wallabies. Think about it, he coaches the ABs to a RWC victory, whilst learning a heap of new stuff along the way. Then he jumps ship to Australia an even better coach so he can fulfill his...

Also BR, thinking of the whole backrow options if Valetini goes down. I think Leota is actually the most like-for-like we have had in the recent set-up, despite Leota playing 6. So what are your thoughts on a backrow of: 6. Leota 7. Hooper/Gamble 8. Samu

What are your thoughts on a Samu 8 and Gamble 7 combo?

I think Hooper and Gamble if fit/eligible are likely to have already been in the squad (they would def have been in Aus A if not), so they are definitly a good chance. Vunivalu, and Mogg already have caps but I don't see it happening. Especially Mogg (if you thought Campball was too small or...

With that forward pack the Rebels should be playing Cheika-ball.

The rugbypass interview with Mike Brown has interesting comments on Razor too. Even Brown was saying good he is. I'm not even sure when they crossed paths, maybe the barbarians.

    Force 2023

Both jerseys are pretty awesome, I want to buy them and I don't even support the Force.

Well if NZ don't sign him then we are a shoe in!

What are the chances of actually signing him though. I still think there's around a 90% chance NZ sign him for 2024.

I don't think anyone is debating that. Everyone is simply arguing who is the BEST candidate. As it stands, Robertson is not proven on the international stage. Just like a manager at age 48 is not a proven CEO until he actually becomes a CEO and succeeds. I don't think anyone is debating that...

If Razor goes to NZ, will Joe Schmidt be an option for us?

Very interesting facts, think you just convinced me Razor should be number 1 candidate. Although, having international experience (whether successful or not) is still an advantage, he can learn from his mistakes. Think how much Eddie has improved since his wallabies stint.

Let's see: Jake White turned the Brumbies around. McKenzie did so at the Reds. Cheika did so at the Tahs. There is nothing new about DC's accomplishments. I like him, but let him have a crack with the Tahs again this year.

But in this case he isn't being signed because he is good friends, he is being signed because he is the best candidate for the job. At least from a Rugby Australia point of view. Maybe from Robinson's point he is only signing as he's good friends but it would probably still be one of this top...
