Buses and Link are not a good mix. Soon after that Argentina game he threw himself under one by resigning.

Matches on between 1.30-3.30 are in the dead man's hours. Do it if you wish to replicate the affects of jet lag later that day. You also need to be careful of commentators spoiling, by mentioning results from earlier games while calling a later match. It's tough being lazy.

    The Pulverisation of Australian Rugby

Agree, it would be great if everyone could be developed. If we're talking about investing in player development with a limited amount of funding available, then it's 16yrs plus as an investment to develop a base capable of progressing to pro rugby.

    Better than a flashing Thomas.

The French selectors waited patiently for him at training before announcing; "Let's forget about Thomas, because Thomas never comes"

In NZ they don't seriously think about individual player development until post school, so say 18-19 yrs of age. That's NZ, they seem to be pretty successful, but do not have anywhere near the competition for talent that we have v league and AFL. For Australia I'd start at 16 yrs old as any...

Cheap cherry picking. You didn't answer either of the 2 questions regarding claims you made.

TWAS, what influence and/or authority do the Shute Shield club's powerful factions have today across any facet of Australian Rugby? What threat do they pose right now that deserves them being 'pissed off'? Their players have been taken by new and remote Super Clubs with no compensation paid...

This type of thinking is simply sad.

So the ARU takes away their funding from clubs and then thinks it can mandate how the clubs spend money that the ARU didn't give them. That'll do me.

Oh yeah Cheika out and Larkham to coach.

OK thanks for that, I didn't know it was a one-off. I became concerned when Harold Mitchell packed it in with the Rebels. If anyone could network and maximise that franchise's potential it was him in the Melbourne market. They'll need to perform on-field soon or they'll only attract rusted on...

But at what cost to the ARU? I'm guessing but don't the Rebels currently cost the ARU around $5 million or so a year to prop up?

    It also makes 'shirt-fronting' easier.

"Retaliate first and before something happens" is his motto. Yes he was hard, but his propensity for cheap shots took a lot of shine off his raw toughness.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I hear you, I'm much the same about Palu as he's been a good servant at many levels for a long time. I think it comes down to the players and who makes the most impact as a team mate. They seem to love Cliffy.
