  1. It is what it is

    England v Australia

Upside is that the Wallabies might be able to develop a "siege mentality". This happens a lot in rugby league around SOO time but seems lacking in rugby. There's our 2015 RWC strategy - a siege mentality.

    Ireland v Australia

Agree about Folau. Also we need to remember that when he's heavily marked it's creating space and opportunities for others.

Some of you guys don't see the glass half full or half empty. You can't even see a glass.
  5. It is what it is

    Ireland v Australia

Maybe he's referring to the great straight inside line he ran when he over ran the pass on his first touch. I thought it showed good intent from Beale and is way better than his cross field stuff. Decent line, poor timing.

Can Cheika ball work for the Wallabies?

Don't know how many times it needs to be said but the team will play Cheika's style, he won't work around their inadequacies or skill gaps. So much of his game plan is about defence and players working hard off the ball, so they'll need to deliver here in addition to their attacking prowess...

Can Cheika ball work for the Wallabies?

I don't think you talk about Cheika ball attack without referring to his defence. His attack is based off his team's defence. At their best, his teams hit, hurt and pressure the opposition with and without the ball. It's about physically and mentally dominating them. His defence turns errors...

    Ireland v Australia

Genia is too slow to play at the speed required. He also needs to get rid of the 2 steps and stay down and pass off the ground.

Peop Fair call, people told me that the Tahs final was the best atmosphere they've ever experienced at ANZ, including SOO and whatever else.

Yes the rectangular shape will help but it's more the profile of the ANZ stands that affect the experience. Years ago l saw the side on profiles of the stands at Homebush compared to Twickenham. The difference in gradient or steepness was amazing. At ANZ, spectators are so far away from the...

    The Pulverisation of Australian Rugby

That make or break development moment often comes the very first time you play open age or grade rugby. It's when the old gnarly prop opposite puts your head up your arse, or their lock hits you with a bell ringer that makes you feel like your spine has dislocated, or your centre opponent runs...
