    Reds 2015

"McInnes Wilson Lawyers Brisbane City" - geez that rolls off the tongue well. None of this "Qantas Wallabies or old "HSBC Waratahs" here.

    Ireland vs Springbokke @ Aviva

What is the situation with props for Ireland? I'm hearing that you have many injured but will they be back soon, and do you have any new props coming through?
  3. It is what it is

    France v Australia

Cheika will stick with Skelton's physicality somewhere in his 23 heading into RWC 2015, unless a new hard arsed on baller lock emerges.

Sydney Rays .. NRC Team Official Thread

Your comment on the absolute need for rectangular grounds is spot on QH.
  5. It is what it is

    Waratahs 2015

All very nice and honourable but irrelevant to your suggestion on Cheika bringing in and developing a new person to follow him as coach.
  6. It is what it is

    Waratahs 2015

Why would Cheika make such an effort unless he was incentivised to do so? He's not a shareholder of Waratah Rugby and he already has enough on his plate without adding succession planning with a newbie.

    Rugby - not set pieces

Is George W tackling a team mate here?
  8. It is what it is

    EOYT 2014

HJ, if you were in the best physical condition of your life, and hit the ball up in a 1st grade rugby league match, you'd soon discover that they can tackle. They hit hard and it's often ferocious at the line in the ruck. Yes the 3 on 1 cuddles slow the ball carrier down in the play the ball too.
  9. It is what it is

    Australian Schoolboys 2014

The deal was done only this year. He had a serious injury that required an operation. He may come back to Union in the future. The good news is that the league experience will accelerate his physical development, and teach him strong tackling technique.

Australian Rugby's greatest day of shame....

From the ARU Summary "Prior to these events, the ARU had not received any reports or complaints about Ms Patston’s performance". As Sergeant Schultz would say "Interesting, very interesting". Is " prior to these events" referring to; a) Prior to the text messages while in the employ of the ARU...

Australian Rugby's greatest day of shame....

Doesn't Ms Patston's phone become the ARU's phone the moment she resigned? The report talks about them accessing and reviewing phone records, so it seems that the ARU own the phone. Unless of course Ms Patston provided the phone bill for her own private phone.

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Do you speak in shorthand too?
  13. It is what it is

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

As generational mentors we have failed them. Why aren't the youngsters of today (over 18 of course) drinking through straws to accelerate alcohol absorption? What protective eyewear do they introduce late at night now? We used to strap on the beer goggles.

    Wallaby Watch 2014

If you did an evaluation of his worth, I'd reckon Hooper's ability to make ground with the ball in traffic, would top the list. His footwork and acceleration are excellent while his leg drive breaks a lot of tackles.

    Robbie Deans

  16. It is what it is

    Robbie Deans

The proof of the quality of the man is shown in how he's carried himself since losing the coaching role. I think he genuinely wants to see the Wallabies do well, including the vast majority of the players.

Australian Rugby's greatest day of shame....

Conversely, is there any real evidence that Mr Pulver is competent?
  18. It is what it is

    Australian Rugby / RA

Maybe we should have a "Rugby Hall of Shame" for those who were guilty of any of the following; Behaving outside the spirit of rugby, leaving a damaging legacy, making shocking decisions that were easily identified early and without the benefit of hindsight, taking more than they gave, making a...

    The Pulverisation of Australian Rugby

Yep that would make them "Interdependent Directors"
