Brumbies v British & Irish Lions Tuesday 18 June 2013

Something tells me we can be pretty confident Jake White knows how to select the best gameplan.

    Lions Tour 2013

Only seen Twelvetrees play once, but I liked what I saw. Seemed to read play well.

    Lions Watch

Don't expect Williams is the test standard he was, but he should be pretty fresh, big game player. Good tactical fill in for one game.

    Bob Dwyer: Lions are Cheats

He was Gnostic, but gee Dwyer is a pot with a big monocle!

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

yeah that is probably fair, certainly by Drew 2010 standards. Unbelievable how good he was before that injury, World XV stuff. He has been building this year though I think, so it was on the cards his class would show when a big game was up.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

On that performance I'd say he is next cab off the rank if a back gets injured.

    Waratahs v. B&I Lions - Saturday 15 June 2013

Tahs were missing a lot of key players and it showed. The only two that stood out for me were Mitchell who worked his ass off after a very average start and Skelton, though Foley and McKibbon were fair. Carter showed his flair for right place, right time again. How a centre that slow wangles...

[deleted stat reference in futile attempt to avoid Hodor labelling] As a rebels supporter I will say Kurtley has had a very rusty year in defense. But I console myself with minutes 7 to 10 of the below the last time Kurtley teamed up with O'Connor.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

Seems I'm the last holdout! I do think McCabe ahead of Horne, because McCabe makes better ground, everytime, has shown some superb lines (too occasionally, but he has), some offloads and breaks, and is a big game player. His rep is for defence, but Horne has stepped up there and its closer...

Love Chiekas attitude and should be a very telling game.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

True Pfitzy, and Folau has played what, one game or part game at wing? Yet I'd play him there rather than Beale to Wing or Beale to 10, JOC (James O'Connor) to wing. His gamebreaking ability is too indispensable to bench imo.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

RH, I think a lot of the argument put forward by yourself, Gnostic and others relates to a lack of structured attack, a set of patterns of attacking play. My understanding of Deans approach is that most of the gameplan is around setting a structured platform that unlocks the attack. That the...

There is way too much ref "coaching" out there

Higgers seems to be a natural at it. Non confrontational, makes reasonable requests the ref wants to agree with. Great at leading by example too. Like Horwill captaincy suits him well.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

Folau has been a starter for weeks if not months in Deans mind I reckon.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

This. But if true then the expectation is that this year Deans will bring back into the mix some more adventurous play. He has the personnel and frankly I think he would be mad not to for all the reasons others have tabled, including the need in Aussie for rugby to be exciting and open...

    New Zealand vs France

To read some of the kiwi press you might think so! Well, the half that aren't Hansen fanbois at least, theres a bit of that going round. You know some days I wonder if Hansen's real PD isn't actually media manager, and there is some rugby genius midget lurking behind the scenes doing the...
