Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

For me this sentence encapsulates the biggest issue with O'Connor. But I think it also brings opportunity when you get it right. On multiple occasions O'Connor drew defenders and got the ball away with short passes. And while he is a long ways from being a definitive ten I think he is...

Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

What a relief. Was a magic but tense atmosphere. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was on the sidelines at the end looking very sore, full credit to him he was one of the last guys to leave. Bit dark on the errors in the last couple of minutes that almost cost us but otherwise a promising effort in a rusty way.

    Lions Tour 2013

Odd, I thought Heaslip played great rugby on the weekend while Faletau looked meh to me tonight. But hey, I am a Wallaby fan so no doubt just winding you up, maybe if you lobby hard enough Gatland will see the light!

Rebels v Lions - Tuesday 25 June, AAMI Park

The beauty of the Rebels is the way they lure opposition into an open game. If it is a fast paced open game and they manage not to concede easy tries through the middle they have a real shot at glory.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

Went to the family fans day today. I was just expecting a few guys but it was practically the whole team sans Kevvy. Lotta sore boys. Well, Pocock looked alright :s. Anyways, they all rocked up, including Patty and he was real stiff, I got the sense he won't be back, but I spose it could come...

Really regretting not getting a ticket for this, wonder if there are any hanging about.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

I'd play JOC (James O'Connor) at 12, leave Beale at fb and play To'omua, but I can't see that happening. This is our last shot, we don't have time to let O'Connor play his way right, unless Deans is completely convinced it was a one off. One option is Beale flyhalf, O'Connor wing, Izzy fb. Another is Beale...

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

I'm seeing a lot of bitching. Were things screwed up? Sure. But there was a lot of superb rugby played on both sides, and guess what? Things get screwed up. How about less hand wringing about our soap box issues and more time giving some credit for a stunning effort by the team in the...

Brumbies v British & Irish Lions Tuesday 18 June 2013

Awesome effort. Was going to single out some players but that would be wrong, what a superb effort, especially the last 20 to hang in there.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

There was nothing ugly about how the ABs won last week.

    Rebels 2014

Much as I am sure Chieka wants Foley Beale and Folau, the thing that resonates as the ARU play is them not wanting an ARU poster boy cut adrift after 12 months of crisis talks over their other 2 poster boys.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

I know it is practically heresy but I can recall a game or two last year where I found Genia's slow service benchworthy. But to be fair the egghatching seemed to be some kind of cocamamie plan. I just couldn't divine who's, genias, our first receiver's, or the coaches. I ~assumed~ it was not the...

    Rebels 2014

Ironic isn't it that the big loss in Africa and subsequent mess was probably the best thing that could happen for the club. Really sorry Foley didn't work out, I think he would have been a great fit.

    Lions Tour 2013

I think it might be as simple as Tuesday is not very far away at all.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

To be fair, last year we lacked two things I expect to see this year. Firstly, more impact and width from our forwards. Secondly, more dimension to our support play. Last year was about building that ability, and in patches I submit we saw it. If right we win, if wrong we lose.

    Lions Tour 2013

Whatever his character faults may or may not be it seems to me to be a very canny selection for the game vs Brumbies. Unless as TPP seems to indicate, the Irish team members hold him in contempt in which case Gatland has made a grievous error.

Brumbies v British & Irish Lions Tuesday 18 June 2013

Not the last chance, but a good chance if the Brumbies can replicate their Sharks game.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

My biggest concern of a quite long list is that to be really effective against the Lions' rushing defense we will need good kicking options and the two of our best kicking halves aren't in the squad. (read: White and Mogg!)
