Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

If To'omua keeps making mistakes like that he will rival Cooper for criticism received soon enough.

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

    Thanks Teach that makes sense.

    Battle for the Spoon!

I think the best part of the whole thing is that not only are the bottom two slots occupied by Saffas and Kiwis, but 60% of the kiwi teams lost ten games or more. Shocking, relegate the buggers I say.

    Rebels 2014

Can't see our backrow dominating the comp next year, but I can see them giving a lot of teams a big fright. They have built some good confidence and drive this year under Higgers and Colby will bring energy too. Going to be interesting to see how we manage two very different 7s to get the best...

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

ACT Crusader I am sure you will get your wish as I don't see the Cooper issues ever dying down, I am sure there is plenty of mileage yet to be had lampooning O'Connor, Simmons is bound to relapse into Ali Williams moments (see what I did there?), and I am expecting Saia (who I thought played...

    For Sale: One Test 10

To be fair O'Connor has been particularly good at plays like the three on Friday and the one in the third test for some time. He's good in close and setting up players one out in those dynamic moments going to the line. It is his broader skills in controlling play and seeing broader space he...

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

Is McCaw allowed to play in a final if he hasn't played in 1-20? Seem to recall Reds having an issue with that in 2011?

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

New coach, fresh looks, and we just saw all of our teams in rd20. So who do you expect to see in Links squad? Who do you think has earnt a chance at higher honours? Who do you think is a lock in for a position? Some I'd like to see get some squad time are in no particular order Cam Crawford...

    Waratahs 2014

Crawford did a fantastic job of injecting himself into that game and is fast becoming a contender for higher honours. Very hard to ignore a player who has such a well rounded game.

    Rebels 2014

I suspect the biggest driver is a desire by Frier (I am assuming he is the guy in charge of PR) to communicate actively to the fans about two players who had been star players for the club rather than having the rumour mill cause mess.

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

I'd have Pyle over Simmons or Douglas any day of the week. Smart player who puts in and finds a way.

    Rebels v Highlanders Rd 20

Yeah Phipps energy is a big plus, he thrives when the chips are down and gets busy leading by example. Pretty handy ball in hand too. He has won me over the past two seasons and I can see him being very good for the Tahs.

    Rebels v Highlanders Rd 20

Yes very surprised how much impact Reid had, he was a different player. Rebels are very good in open play, very effective linking and direct play, angled play. Once the opposition is drawn into that open game they start to really fire up. A feature last night was some very good lines taken...

    Waratahs V Reds July 13 2013

The contracting with Izzy sure as drawn out, by the end of it you would almost think Izzy will have been given the CEO's carpark and the car that goes in it!

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

Pretty sure his comment about attacking rugby was specific to going to the Tahs rather than about rugby generally.

    For Sale: One Test 10

It's not harsh in my view, but even if it was... O'Connor was the only one to no show. Interesting that the Rebels announcement was only 40 mins later.

Competition - Link's top priority with the Wallabies

I believe the top priority is instilling the belief that when you wear the gold you are an elite player that is part of a long and deep code of passion. To wear the jersey you must give your all. Build on the players who went before you, showing the world that we should never be underestimated...

    Ewen McKenzie: Wallaby Coach

I had no idea JO'N was so resourceful! There was me thinking he'd be scanning the jobs pages after Echo losing out.

Wallabies - a changing of the guard

Few general observations from the past few pages. 1 - What is this crap suggesting Quade has 'grown up this year' and 'distributes more'? Quade has NEVER had difficulty being a distributor, he has NEVER been one to take the glory when he could give it to someone else. FFS. Quade's faults...
