The only positive is that they have improved (from a psychological point of view) recently over the flippant "gamble responsibly"

Announced yesterday that FTA ad revenue dropped $250m for FY24; Seven West also pausing share buyback and dividends due to reduced ad revenue (no doubt other factors at play here).

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Appears the article has been edited to say that - initially it implied he was dropped on form

Obviously some forced changes, but seems to me Schmidt is (understandably) still experimenting a bit to land on his preferred side (assuming Doran's on the money). I wouldn't be surprised if we see the same against Los Pumas as well, with the Bled being the ultimate goal.

The new Sportsbet "human intelligence" campaign promoting their social feed is fucking hilarious if you think about it - the suggestion of inherently fallible humans being superior to AI/machine learning (which I believe has taken over a lot of the grunt work for them in-house)

All the lineups for the '22 matches have McReight, Wilkin, and Callan listed at 7 - I doubt my memory more than I do yours, so it must've been a late change

Mate, you took umbrage at a misinterpreted point about Noah the other day - I believe "Wallabies shouldn't be a training ground" was the quote. Playing Uru at 7 for the first time ever against the world #1 is exactly that.

He played at 8 vs both Tonga and Portugal I thought - the team lists corroborate this

The fact that Uru has never played 7 in his professional career (I'm fairly sure) is probably a good enough reason to call it madness. I also don't think he's quite as mobile as you're giving him credit for.

Even your lord and saviour Kerevi (on '23 form) would be 4th on that list... It's all well and good to perpetually talk absolute garbage, but at some point you surely have to recognise we're working with what we've got. Paisami is so far down the list of stand-out issues from Saturday's game.

I'm not making any suggestions regarding his selection, simply pointing out that your original comment of "12mo is long enough" was off the mark. Anyway, probably time to Rule 10 this.

Second not was a typo - edited.

No - it's unlikely he's fully returned to where he was pre-injury relative to his own previous benchmark. That is not to say his fitness/strength/endurance fails to meet an overall standard, let alone using that to infer the S&C team mustn't be doing their job...

As others have highlighted, neither selection criteria nor recovery from the injury are that black and white. With regard to him 'failing' test metrics, that is not the suggestion - rather that it's unlikely he has returned to his pre-injury physical capabilities in 12mo, as you suggested should...
