Rod, you do need to see the other teams before saying that Barker "replacements", and Trinity, should have got more players in the CAS rep teams. Have a look back at which CAS teams have beaten the GPS teams, suspect Trinity none, and just because Trinity pushed Barker a bit doesn't mean Trinity...

    CAS Rugby 2022

Snort, I was at the Knox v Waves game at Knox, a terrific schoolboys game, and as the Knox gents have said, yes could well have gone either way. Waves gave Knox 2 tries, 1 when on the knox try line which ended in a Knox 100m intercept, so a 14 point turnaround, and in the last 5 mins a charge...

Agree BBR, I also don't want the CAS schools changed but I think the Rugby situation is a rare case, other than the other sports, where the physicality, and therefore safety factor, demands a re-think. I would luv Aloys to get stronger but can't see it happening. It was also mentioned above...

    CAS Rugby 2022

Don't think it was game over from 1 selection, the front row should have been as I said above, as we already had 2 ferocious and bigger ball runners in the 2nd row. I think Ned SS was a bigger loss, but even then our team was terrific. To be honest, the GPS team was also mucked up, Bowen in the...

Ap1 , as you can see re the "likes" you have received there are many of us who agree with your overview, I am one of those. I have a nephew at Aloys and have had several more very close family members at Aloys, prior to the change of direction. Given that the school has chosen a particular...

The Waves 10 is good, great passer and boot, young though in year 11, sounds like Katoa's shoes will be near impossible to fill. In last years CAS 1s the wrong front row was picked, they got pushed back, we were all amazed they didn't pick the obvious, and best, combo Black and Smith, the...

Thanks Hasbeen, yep that's the boy. Doesn't matter now.

I will also be at the 16as, and then up to see all the Opens. As you can appreciate I won't be going home and returning! :p Agree would have liked to see Katoa, he played last year but probably wasn't as strong as this year. The weather killed our style of play, particularly in the big running...

Yes High OB, He was a seriously good player, could do it all, including goal kicking. Also a great young man, very team orientated, not just about himself and everyone is very happy for him. There have been a multitude of very good players over the years just goes to show how few make the big...

Good question, I don't know. Maybe it doesn't bother the CAS hierarchy, and to be honest it doesn't really bother me either, it just looks a bit OTT. Let's move on.

BBR, That is certainly better than every team but still a headache, yep, it's 1 thing after another at the moment. The break will hopefully help these things to pass! Our 1s and 2s are at full strength, what games are you going to watch?

    NSW AAGPS 2022

Yep OS, I understand the way it was for a relatively small amount of time re the CAS, BUT when I played we beat the GPS 1s in 1979, and 1978 as well, and that contest was well and truly alive in the 1980s. Since the 90's things have changed a lot, I think you are a bit OTT re the CAS teams...

Not sure what teams you mean by 13 - 15Ds, is that every 13s, 14s and 15 teams? Think not. But yep, the Flu is rife in all schools, the Waves have at least 15 players ie 1 full team, unavailable in every age group, and I think we are no different to every other school, boarding schools like...

    NSW AAGPS 2022

It has been said before, but the question still stands. WHY does the GPS pick 4 rep sides, when comparative associations like the CAS pick 2. It is ridiculous, either you qualify for the top 2 teams or you don't, sounds like everyone is a winner in the GPS. The reality is, the poor few...

    CAS Rugby 2022

The Waves unfortunately have 4 forwards out on Sat in their 16as, including both big front rowers, so uncontested scrums will be in play. A shame as this was 1 of the games of the day but we will see, not good for anyone.

I believe that is correct, he is ineligible, which is not good. Unless the CAS heads all agree he can play, Barker did this a couple of years ago with another back, Hasbeen or WTF will know who I mean.

Yep Snort, agree, it happens all the time. In fact, Henry didn't make our 1979 side. He was a runner not a footy player!
