His last game in France was in mid-march, six months ago. So I'm guessing the answer is no

Tizzano an auto selection? There's no Reimer there, along with McReight and Wright out Hopefully we get to see Tizzano (1.8m) up agianst Marcus Kremer (2m). A real clash of styles

Still signed with Tahs. Playing club rugby at the moment. He got a red card for a lifting tackle on the weekend so likely will be suspended for a while

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I thought insufferablness was the halfback's key criteria? And as TT said above, we really didn't have a better option last week

He's the annoying half back's annoying halfback isn't he. You have to respect the combatitveness of the smallest bloke on the field even when it often doesn't work.

I said in another thread that Rob Simmons had the record for biggest difference between what fans think of him and what his coaches think of him, but Nic White must be getting pretty close

The Japanese Top League doesn't kick off until 21 December. What are they going to do over their at training for the next 4 months? You'd think he would want to play international just to break it up a bit

    Wallabies 2024

Does Kerevi isn't fit to play mean he was recently injured and he's working diligently with physios to get back to full fitness for his club, or does it mean he's quite happy stuffing around in Div 2 Japanese rugby, and doesn't really fancy doing the training that would be required to get to...

    Wallabies 2024

Kerevi '23 was only 12 months on from an ACL. He's got another year under his belt now. Hopefully he's been training with QC (Quade Cooper) getting back to shape but it just sounds like he's been taking it easy in Japan

Doran laying the ground work for Lynagh to be left at home for Argentina Doesn't trust his hamstring is usually code for isn't quick enough, right?

    Refereeing decisions

That's what people said in the match thread, but I'm actually less sure about it having seen it again. The interpretation is usually that a maul can't disappear once it's over. If he hadn't gone to ground I don't think I we would have looked twice at it

    Refereeing decisions

Once he loses his bind at the back of the maul, it's not a maul anymore. The ball carrier has left the maul. Law then switches to 13.1 - players on the ground in open play

    Refereeing decisions

I think the ref sees him go to ground. maul is now over. We are in open play. Lolesio rushes up to make the tackle. Marx can get up with the ball without releasing as there is no tackle yet. He then forces over the try line through Lolseio's tackle. The unknows for me - is he allowed to keep...

    Refereeing decisions

Not for this try/maul. No advantage signaled by the ref. Harry Wilson had a long conversation about it with the ref after the try - you can see on the spidercam feed. if the commentators didn't talk over the ref just before the conversion we could probably hear the explanation
  15. Strewthcobber

    Refereeing decisions

It's a good one for the amateur refs out there! Marx is legal at this point 1st question - Can he get back to his feet and keep going with the maul? Law is unclear 2nd question - Has the maul ended when he goes down/loses his bind? Law is unclear 3rd question - if it has ended and it's open...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I thought he specifically requested a two year contract, and plan A is to hand over to an Australian coach and for Schmidt to become an assistant after the Lions series through to the World Cup

Doran reported yesterday that neither McReight or Wright are likely to be fit, Paisami is also in doubt, but most of the other players who have been involved against SA should be good to go if selected.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I think it's 12 Wallaby eligible players were part of the French and Japanese semi-finals. That's not nothing, although no props or 10s in that lot

    Wallabies 2024

If you did that it woould start adding up pretty quickly for players playing all tests Say 3 weeks for July tests, 8 weeks for TRC and 4 weeks for end of year = 15 weeks or nearly a third of the salary pro-ratered. For the guys on th ebig bucks that's a pretty significant amount. I honestly...
