    Refereeing decisions

I'm not sure a pass is enough, especially if it's between players who haven't "left the lineout"

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

South Africa not running out their best team against us here in Australia is probably the only thing giving us any hope over the last few years.

2022 in reverse. Australia will take this one against SA A. A new dawn

The rise and rise of Argentinian rugby is at least challenging this kind of model

Tizzano's issue wasnt tackling, it was he kept giving up sealing off penalties while we had the ball. Offensive offenses are coach killers

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I criticized one aspect of Wilson's defence (an aspect that has been a consistent issue for him for his entire career). On the try line opposition teams absolutely target him, and it paid off again for South Africa, as it has for plenty of Super Rugby teams all year (and in previous years) LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is being...

    Refereeing decisions

Mind you, after a second look, - Pearce makes the secondary signal that the lineout has ended as soon as they pass the ball, and all of Australia's players advance from the lineout offside line even though the ball has not left "the lineout" So, second question, does passing the ball to another...

    Refereeing decisions

Yeah, this is my thinking too. Everyone else involved (receiver, hooker, Kolhisi joining the front pod) are all completely legal too. They are such a well coached team at the moment.

    Refereeing decisions

I think this was an excellent bit of rugby innovation, but for the sake of a bit of non-Wallaby conversation......... Was South Africa's second lifting maul actually a "flying wedge" - 9.22 in the lawbook, or two pre-latchers to use the other WR (World Rugby) terminology.

OK, what about Nico Jansen van Rensburg at Montpellier , or Jasper Weis who was at Leicester when he debuted?

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Presumably Foxtel is paying more for the rights than ESPn+ thinks they can get by setting up a whole new service here in Australia

Even if international rugby league was to disappear altogether, would it matter? Doesn't seem to hurt the AFL

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Paisami was a target on the weekend in both attack and defense, and the Boks were able to knock him back over the ad-line repeatedly, but unless we have Kerevi from pre-ACL available then I don't think we have an upgrade on Paisami, and Stewart certainly won't solve the issue.

    Wallabies 2024

Doran said on his podcast on Sunday that he thinks BPA will join the Wallaby squad in Perth this week (don't know if it was officially or otherwise), but he didn't expect him to play against SA.

    Wallabies 2024

I'm guessing they probably didn't want to have both the LH and TH on their starting debut, along with a complete leadership vacuum in the team

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

Have a look who was standing next to those guys for those misses. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) was targeted by the Boks in defence, or at least they were targeting the slow forwards standing next to each other, of which LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) was usually one. He's always struggled with lateral speed in the line
