Then those that don't perform as well, claim that they no longer pay players and we are back to square one.

Which division? Wouldn't be the club that has linked up with a few ex-West Harbour boys?

No mate. I've been at the club since 1999 and vaguely remember the name..... wouldn't have played after 2001-2002.

Funny you should mention Beecroft rugby and their recruitment tactics. If I were someone from Hills Rugby, I would just rip it down! The Secretary of Beecroft Rugby emailed our Juniors President to try to recruit our juniors to play in their Colts team, despite the fact that we have a Colts...

Hey Angrydog, Hills Rugby are a good social club, whose 3rd Grade team made the Grand Final last year. They have had limited success in the other grades since coming into Division 3, but were quite successful in the lower divisions. They have a strong juniors network and I believe that they...

Our first trial is 17th/18th March vs Kings Old Boys, depending on ground availability. We share our ground with Epping Juniors, which is easy because we don't have to worry too much about being there on the same day or weekend. We also have a mini's field for the 6's-9's, which reduces...

We are lucky at the moment - we have a fair stream of players coming from two local schools which are pretty strong rugby schools. A number of our juniors go on to play colts up at Eastwood and then return when they have had enough. Alot of guys have mates playing at the Woods and around the...

Weren't Randwick in a bit of trouble last year? Unable to pay their council rates for use of the ground?

Barbarian, A couple of years ago, Subbies started to get the sh!ts with Division 2 clubs not supplying Colts teams, as is the requirement for the division, so they have started to ask clubs without Colts to 'show cause' as o why they should remain in Div 2. They did it to Newport and Waverley...

They use Blackmore Park at the moment, but it will be no good for them if/when they make their way to Division One. They would probably like to have better facilities as well.

They still have a long way to go.... My club played against them on the Mitchell and Giteau day, there were alot of people there, but not 4000.

Probably had something to do with their Club President, Warren Livingston, who owned and operated the Fanatics. I think he has contacts in a few places (as well as deep pockets).

Should have been Epping. We all know how that rivalry works out - check with Camo. Imagine punching on in the middle of the SFS!

I'm not sure Robbie Deans would have been too unhappy with that backline.

On another note, NSW Suburban Rugby Union could be in a bit of trouble financially. The grant it receives from NSW Rugby has been abolished, so individual clubs will be asked to pay more money. This is just like NSW Rugby - cutting off grassroots rugby. We may not be feeder teams for the...
