Good chance of making it 7 if they get the ball to Taqele as well as they did last week. Reminded me of Lomu / Catt 1995 ☺ Sent from my SM-J110F using Tapatalk

So it comes down to this: Manly (well deserved minor premiers) will almost certainly play Eastwood in the first week of the finals (assuming Woods pick up a bonus point win against Penrith and Uni don't have a huge bonus point win against Parra and get their F&A above Eastwood's) The winners...

He scored a try and set another one up in the first half and probably should have received penalties for the 2 quick taps he took as Manly weren't back 10.

Yes, but he wasn't named in the team on Wednesday. Jock Merriman was the 10 when I checked the teams. Phipps came in on Friday.

Jake Gordon appears to be the only Waratah in this week's run on teams. He must have left it too late to book flights and accommodation. May be a few non-holidayers on the bench I guess.

Interesting to see Wicks have selected Henry Hutchison (Aussie 7s and U20s) on the wing in 2nds rather than disrupt the successful 1sts backline. Looks like he and Horwitz and Kellaway may have to earn their selections in 1sts ;)

Can't see how he would qualify for the finals --- there's always dispensations of course

We shouldn't assume any returning Tahs will strengthen any of the clubs Sent from my SM-J110F using Tapatalk

Don't know when Hugh Roach pulled out but it certainly didn't seem as though the Woods had done much work on their lineout during the week Sent from my SM-J110F using Tapatalk

He and Tom Stephenson are from the Aviva Cup team Northampton Saints in the UK. I think they're only here until the end of July. Both 23. Sent from my SM-J110F using Tapatalk

Gonzalez was the star for the Woods and one of the best on the park as he was in the first round. Starkey was brilliant for the Wicks and the 2 Pom Toms Stephenson and Collins also impressed whilst Latu is just impossible to tackle. Thought the forwards cancelled each other out but Wicks had the...

One advantage of fresh reserves is the opportunity it gives to older players to keep playing and pass on their experience to the younger guys. For example, I doubt Adam Freier, Pat Phibbs and Stephen Hoiles would still be playing at the Wicks if they couldn't be replaced by fresh reserves or...

3rd and 4th grade and colts3 don't have player points but there are some restrictions on who can play in those teams. 7.3.2.1 Aust schoolboys are not eligible for colts3 7.4.1 Test, Super and Heineken cup can only play 1st or 2nd grade 7.4.1 Players with current Super contracts can only play 1st...

Good point about North Sydney Oval, KB (Kurtley Beale). I was there for Wicks v Norths earlier this year and you could have heard a pin drop most of the time. It was ladies' day, so maybe there were some distractions!

BTW, I assume loyalty discounts would apply to Mumm and Kingston (see my post #1526 above) which would keep Uni below the 100 points cap.

Just noticed there is a Category G in rule 7.1 Premiership Points System which states: "Any player who plays 1st grade for the last place team in 2017 who then plays for another club in 2018 will automatically have a Premiership Points System loading of 20 points." This applies to players...

Checked round 13. David Horwitz and Ben O'Donnell points missing in 1st grade --- lifts total to about 79, well under the 100. Jesse Harris missing in 2nd grade --- lifts total to 54 (<60). All colts have points and both totals under the cap. Are you referring to another round?

NSWRU have confirmed that all players who take the field are counted in the total player points whether they are fresh reserves or not. And the Rats are definitely under the points cap. Some errors on the website apparently.
