He means 10 years old, not played at 10. Mark Ella and Tony Melrose were the 10's on the tour. Wally Lewis was playing in the centres in those days.

LOL I think Dominic Vaughan (Newcastle) was the first string half on the tour with backup from Darrell Lester (Joeys) and Michael Egan (Matraville). Ricky Stuart made the 1985 Aust Schoolboys team to the UK and went on the 1987 Wallaby tour to Argentina. He played in 3 games but no tests.

I don't disagree with you about that, I've just given up thinking that it will ever happen seeing we've been saying that for 10+ years.

Super rugby has just made NZ rugby stronger and increased their depth. Not sure that the extra 2 teams have helped Oz rugby. They were supposed to stop players heading o/s but that hasn't happened. I believe we need to get back to a format that allows the Super players to play half the SS season...

And being run by rugby people in the main, not by suits.

    Galloping Greens

A brilliant individual try by man-of-the-match Matt Gonzalez turned the match IMO. That moved the Woodies to 17-24 and lifted them and put the wind up the Wicks. However, had the game gone longer either side could have won.

Mason played U20s for Qld and also U20s for the Melbourne Storm in league before NRC with Qld Country. So not the usual pathway. Someone must have been impressed with him. Sent from my SM-J110F using Tapatalk

    Sydney Colts - 2017

Interesting to note that 70% of Wicks colts from 2016 have now moved up to grade and only 2 (Stoltz and Tarogi) are in 1st grade this week. I believe they reported a similar % last year. Not sure whether the same applies to other clubs, but this must (and is) pushing out the long term lower...

I can recommend the Campos coffee and cinnamon buns from Fika Swedish Kitchen on the walk from the ferry.

    Shute Shield 2017

Probably not. It was sheer luck that it turned out to be such a good game. No one could really suggest that the people who decided to show the game way back in March knew what the game would be like. I doubt many people even thought on the day that it would be an upset. Selection of games is...

Still jumping to conclusions, Done That. I'm all for giving all clubs TV time (although I'm still not sure what benefit they get). My concern is deciding the first 7 games before the season starts. The same objective could have been achieved by deciding week-to-week whilst also making sure the...

They had to get lucky sometime. Still can't believe they aren't doing Manly v Norths next week -- could be the GF preview.

I believe they've swapped a couple of home games hoping the ground would be ready, but still have 9 home games. Their previous home game this year was played down the road at Cranbrook school. Their next home game will be at Scots College, also not far from Woollahra Oval. Here's the email: We...
