Ummm, last year Knox went to Ds in all years and 8ths in opens. To be fair they didn’t go all that well in most ages against Shore last year but won the big ones - 1sts, 2nds, 16As.

The best XV of players from any school

George Gregan (Eddies), Joe Roff (Marist), Rod Kafer (Grammar), Matt O’Connor (Marist), Andy Friend (Grammar). Plus we’ll count Campese.

    NSW AAGPS 2024

This is stupid. Imogen (yr 10) has already signed with Easts and will start at 10 or 15 for sure.

    ISA 2023

I can’t imagine the bulldogs will be happy with him playing a full school / Gen Blue / Aus rep season. May be a Suallii situation where he runs waters for Pats

    Cheers, thanks for that.

Congrats. Jarvis Orr from Knox as well in the squad. Any other from CAS?

None of the guns from the U15 side?

It will be Knox v Waverley again, though the boys say that there are some new joiners at Barker which could make life interesting.

Off the point but didn’t Knox smash Shore last year?

Bad luck seeing Thomas Yassmin (Scots ‘17) out for the season for Utah. Was becoming a real weapon. Hope his NFL aspirations not over.

Yeah Red was talking up Oakhill. That team has been dominate since u13s and is still even without Risati who is the best player in the age group. Great for ISA and NSW Rugby, not so much for CAS.

I wouldn’t read too much into it. The selection process doesn’t give the very few selectors a particularly wide view of the age group, esp as they don’t look at school games. CAS will have a strong U16 team next year and no doubt there will be numerous changes.

Or a GPS championship it seems.

    U16 schoolboy rugby

For CAS 1. Waverley 2. Knox 3. Barker 4. Cranbrook 5. Trinity 6. Aloys Waves and Knox easily two best sides. Daylight to 3rd.

No chance of a change to the association games. GPS home and away worked well and CAS and ISA working OK, except for a couple of weaker teams falling away. BUT, why not a revitalised waratah shield that everyone is in? Start it early and it replaces the trials. Can settle each year who the...

Strong effort. back row - has Nuilala from Trinity left? Thought he was only u17. same with max Meagher at 2 - he was in u16 last year. - Dene from barker did will at 10 this year, coming in young. Will be tough to dislodge. - the Cranbrook centre Tovio is class. Must be in the mix. -...

Upshot is that Knox had a strong u16 squad, as seen by them getting more Gen Blue reps than any other school (except Joeys...). Surprised to see Barker get close to them TBH.

I think Knox will win it. They have the home game against Waves next year and will be a massive crowd for the centennial. So: 1. Knox 2. Waves 3. Barker 4. Cranbrook 5. Trinity 6. Aloys
