Oakhill 7-0 over Knox at halftime in 16As. Scrappy game.

Joeys and Oakhill strongest in that 14 age group. Joeys just great across the board and Oakhill have 2 or 3 real stars in their backs. Newington also very good. It is an age group I think that CAS is pretty weak in sadly

Shore also won the 14As by a conversion. As a Knox parent it was a frustrating morning. We lost the 14As, 16As and 1sts by a total of 8 points. Good draw in the 15s. Lots of opportunities, but Shore played smarter rugby across the board.

Barkers’ general competitiveness across all teams except 1sts is really disappointing. That being said I don’t think that is emblematic of quality across all CAS. I don’t think View won any A grade game last week against Knox. And didn’t CAS beat GPS last year in the rep game?

Just watched Knox v St Pats. Knox winning 21-0. Really strong first half from Knox but they lost a bit of cohesion when subs came on in the second half. The forwards were dominant and in the backline 12 and 13 were v strong. For Pats the best players were 10 and 15, impressive as I think both...

Knox played Marist Ashgrove last night and won 54-0. Good tune up. I think Barker beat Knox the week before though in a very loose trial format.

Great achievement! Knox look strong this year with a number of rep players in the squad.

Sadly the January Gen Blue camps have been postponed due to Omicron - now due to be held on Sundays in Q1. Here’s hoping the outbreak passes quickly and the boys can get a proper season in.
