You’d think those particular schools could just opt out - not veto streaming for everyone.

Sadly he’s injured. Dislocated shoulder so out for the season.

I would say GPS 1 beating CAS in the final, although the likely semi between ISA and CAS will be tight given the strength of ISA this year. I can’t see any other association getting close.

Ah you are right - that’s interesting. So 19yo can only play with dispensation and subject to strict criteria. I guess it stops star players coming back for year 13.

And anyway kids - sorry men - can play in open division if they are 19. They can’t turn 20 in the year of competition, so if a 19 yo turns 20 on 31 December of that playing year he is ineligible.

GPS plays 2 teams at the schools carnival next week. So 2 squads of 25. Everyone else has one squad. Still, agree it seems OTT to have 50% of the playing population making the rep teams.

Agree there are a few kids from Knox who could feel hard done by but a number of other schools have U16s playing in their opens - eg Trinity, Cranbrook, Barker while Knox doesn’t have any. So Knox should overperform a little in the 16s this year.

Half time at Fort Knox 19-17 to Knox. Good game, including a 95m intercept try to the Knox winger Sherlock.

In the 16As Waverley over Knox by 26-19, after Knox led 19-0 in the first half. Knox switched off. The Wav 10 looks sharp and a great kicking game.

Wow that is a big drop. They fielded 4 teams in the now u16s last year.

Ah mate are you off your meds? Or you just can’t read? I didn’t say any of that. I was making the point that rugby will lose yet another real talent, which is a shame.

I think you can’t turn 20 in the year of competition.

That may be exciting news for the boy in question but I don’t see it as good news for CAS rugby. It would be more interesting if Aus rugby was finding ways of enticing talented kids like that to stay in the 15 man game, although I guess he was always a league prospect taking an opportunity to...

59-0. Yes it’s a very strong team, especially the forward pack.

16As Knox beat Newington 16-15. Penalty kick at the hooter. Good game in muddy conditions.

I am sure the sportmasters do the best they can to try and create good competition but the talent pools seem so lopsided that it may be impossible to do, especially in the younger age groups. My sons’ team will either win 60-0 or lose 60-0. I can’t remember a tight game they’ve had. In the young...
