Are you talking about some new Champions Cup set up or expanding the current one. Because the South Africans already compete in both the Champions and Challenge Cup. The Tyranny of distance pretty puts the idea to rest. Considering that the French already don't overly value it in comparison to...

    League Targets

And they actually played the game as juniors.

    Yes

Made the suggestion before. Look to send some of the younger talented blokes (like Zach Fittler who the game is chasing for example) that we are chasing to the likes of the MLR which is around the same level as the NPC these days for the first half of the year at the very least. Potentially to...

Plenty of NZ players as well. There's also an increasing number of Argentines, Chileans and Uruguayans popping up.

    Queensland Reds 2025

Yes. It's around $1m AUD. With the development bonus which practically every club achieved it's closer to $1.5m AUD just in payments.

You could be it requires the approval of the league this the owners of the clubs. Has happened previously.

    Queensland Reds 2025

Nope. The current salary cap is $700k with the max allowed for an individual player being $55k. Though there's a development bonus that allows the clubs to add an additional $250k to that if they meet the criteria which most of not all do. There are of course things that can be offered external...

    Waratahs 2025

He plays Rugby and has been part of the Tahs system for a few years now. Chances are he'll go to League but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to get someone who is has been in our system.

    Wallabies 2024

Agreed. But he offers a lot more than just scrummaging which makes him a near automatic selection when fit.

    Maybe this.

    Shute Shield 2024

That's not all that uncommon. I was 17 when I entered Colts and that was 21 years ago now (I was actually still 16 in the trials). In fact a lot of the 4th grade sides for many of the clubs had 17 year old's running around for them. Sort of a soft introduction to the grade system.

And of those the original hosts France had to hand back the rights because they couldn't secure the funding from the Govt as there was no interest in doing so.

Awesome. People will then be able to look at the RWC in 27 and then think about how the League one paled in comparison. Might make some of the 'Rugby is on its arse' realize that it's only here where that applies.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

There's definitely appears to be a shift occurring in African Rugby. Namibia have managed to sit atop for a long time (for the most part) but looking at junior results over the past 5 years they are firmly 3rd behind Zimbabwe and Kenya. The Algerian result is a surprise but not a huge one as...

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

I'm actually fairly happy with that considering even for many Rugby fans Georgia aren't a huge draw. Also going to put it out there that I really liked them being added to the schedule and hope we do more of it going forward.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

To add to their senior sides win today. The Spanish U20s have just beaten Fiji to stay in the JWC. The final score 24-19 to Spain. Not a reflection of the game with Spain bombing multiple scoring opportunities and suffering from early nerves where they found themselves down 0-14.
